Job Summary:
Arizona Liver Health/Arizona Clinical Trials is looking for qualified candidates for the Call Center Scheduler/Medical Records position in Mesa.
Title: Call Center Scheduler/Medical Records (Mesa, AZ)
Compensation: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour, depending on experience
Status: Full-time, Non-exempt
Essential job functions/duties

- Ensure patient needs and requests are handled efficiently by performing telephonic patient scheduling.
- Schedule patient initial and follow up appointments ensuring efficient use of provider time and the appropriate care for patients.
- Perform patient pre-registration including accessing and updating patient information as indicated.
- Perform data entry and appointment confirmation.
- Maintain schedule accuracy for maximum patient flow.
- Follow established procedures for answering and screening incoming appointment-related telephone calls, scheduling interpreters, and directing calls to appropriate staff.
- Maintain effective communication with office staff and providers in all of the health centers as needed.
- Maintains patient confidentiality in compliance with the Privacy Act and HIPAA
- Files/scans laboratory, radiology, and other reports in appropriate section of the EHR within prescribed timeline.
- Send SOC records to Research for all new screeners within 48 hrs.
- Routes clinical reports to appropriate clinic staff & outside parties.
- Attends to all release of medical records requests and sends records to requesting party via mail or electronic means.
- Send out medical records release to referring provider when requested.
- Attends to all incoming faxes and routes to appropriate clinic staff.
- Follow up on failed faxes and update data base with changes to receiving party.
- Maintains good attendance, is punctual and works full scheduled shift.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, Windows, and multi-line telephone system
- Ability to communicate professionally with patients, providers, and 3rd party vendors.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management skills
- Impeccable written and oral communication skills
- Bilingual (Spanish-speaking) required

- Able to lift at least 15 lbs.
- Able to sit for long periods (at least 50%)
- Able to type and do computer work for long periods
Travel Requirements
- Some interoffice travel may be required with use of company vehicle or mileage reimbursement
Education, credentials, and/or trainings required
- High School Diploma or GED required
