About the Role

As an Associate UI/UX Designer, you will be responsible for creating intuitive, engaging, and visually appealing user interfaces and experiences for our digital products. You’ll also support general design needs across the company, from marketing assets to brand visuals—helping maintain consistency and creativity across all touchpoints.

You will collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to design and implement user-centric solutions, ensuring that our digital experiences are both functional and aesthetically pleasing. A solid foundation in graphic design will allow you to assist with everything from UI flows to presentation decks, social graphics, and digital content as needed.

This role will be primarily responsible for the Armada website and the future of our Growth products, shaping how users find, explore, and engage with Armada. You’ll own the creation of intuitive, high-impact digital experiences that distill complex technical concepts into clear, accessible, and visually engaging narratives. Your work will make it easy for customers, partners, and prospects to quickly grasp Armada’s value—regardless of their technical background. From concept through execution, you’ll play a central role in delivering a seamless discovery experience that brings our mission to life.

Location. This role is office-based at our San Francisco (HQ) office, our Bellevue, Washington office, or Los Angeles.

What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities)

  • Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights and understand user needs.
  • Create user personas, journey maps, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups for new and existing products.
  • Design intuitive and visually engaging user interfaces, ensuring a seamless user experience across platforms (web, mobile, etc.).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and marketing, to ensure design specifications are accurately implemented and brand standards are upheld.
  • Assist with general graphic design tasks as needed, including marketing materials, presentation decks, social media graphics, email templates, and branded visual assets.
  • Iterate on designs based on user feedback and usability testing results.
  • Stay up to date with design trends, industry standards, and best practices to ensure the company’s digital products remain innovative and competitive.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of design systems and style guides to ensure consistency across all digital and visual channels.
  • Ensure accessibility standards and usability guidelines are adhered to in all design work.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a UI/UX Designer, Product Designer, or similar role.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing UI/UX design work across web and mobile platforms.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.
  • Experience with wireframing, prototyping, and user flows.
  • A solid foundation in graphic design principles, layout, typography, and visual storytelling.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or equivalent tools for general design tasks.
  • Familiarity with front-end development (HTML/CSS/JavaScript) is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work in an agile environment and manage multiple design projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design practices.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience designing digital marketing or brand assets (e.g., emails, banners, social media posts).
  • Familiarity with user research tools (e.g., UsabilityHub, Lookback, etc.).

Compensation & Benefits

For U.S. Based candidates: To ensure fairness and transparency, the starting base salary range for this role for candidates in the U.S. are listed, varying based on location experience, skills, and qualifications.  In addition to base salary, this role will also be offered equity and subsidized benefits (details available upon request).
