We are seeking a highly skilled Director of Product Line Management to lead the strategic direction and roadmap of our Leo CXL Smart Memory Controller portfolio. As a key member of our product management team, you will report directly to the AVP of Product Line Management with high visibility to the executive team and customers. You will drive product vision, roadmap, and lifecycle management, ensuring alignment with market needs and company objectives. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, market insight, and leadership skills to ensure successful product adoption and revenue growth.

Based in Santa Clara, this position requires an in-person presence with travel to customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Strategy: Use market and customer intelligence to develop competitive product roadmap and influence strategy with data-driven insights
  • Product Development: Collaborate with Astera Labs cross-functional teams (program management, R&D, sales, operations, and corporate development) to ensure successful product launch and business growth
  • Product Delivery: Work with Astera Labs cross-functional teams (sales, FAE, applications and operations) to meet customer milestones and forecast throughout the product design lifecycle
  • Customer Engagement: Build close relationships with lead customers and manage cradle-to-grave product definition, engagement and support
  • Go-to-Market: Assist with Go-to-market strategy and launch plan with clear market assessment, competitive analysis, and product positioning
  • Product Marketing: Drive marketing activities such as tradeshows, press releases, blogs, etc. and contribute to new and creative content generation
  • Sales Enablement: Develop compelling product slides to clearly articulate product differentiation and work closely with sales and customers to secure new business opportunities and close design-wins.
  • Business Intelligence: Complete comprehensive TAM/SAM/SOM analysis and use data-driven strategies to influence product roadmap.
  • Business Impact: Refine product strategy and definition through continuous market assessment and customer management

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, marketing, business, or related field; MBA preferred
  • 12+ years of experience in product line management or product marketing roles within the semiconductor industry, with a proven track record of launching and marketing successful semiconductor products
  • Deep understanding of CXL and memory technologies and their applications in cloud and AI infrastructure
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate customer pain points into competitive product strategies
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts in a clear and compelling manner
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and drive consensus in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on driving measurable impact and achieving business objectives
  • Experience working with customers and partners to understand their needs and drive product strategy
  • Experience with customer negotiation and influencing successful pricing strategies
  • Willingness to travel as needed for customer meetings, industry events, and conferences

The base salary range is $192,000 USD - $260,000 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
