About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled Associate General Counsel, Commercial and Product to join our legal team. This position involves supporting the sales and product marketing teams, with a focus on structuring, drafting, and negotiating a variety of customer and business partner engagements. The role also includes serving as product counsel to engineering teams, to spot issues and provide guidance on product development issues. Reporting to the General Counsel, this role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the company’s success by supporting the development and commercialization of cutting-edge innovations.
What you will do
- Provide solution oriented legal support and counsel for business and engineering teams.
- Draft, negotiate, and advise on a variety of agreements for product sales, master purchase agreements, development and manufacturing engagements, and technology licenses.
- Counsel on contract terms, compliance matters, and dispute resolution.
- Collaborate with other members of the legal department to develop and refine internal policies related to the product development, marketing and sales.
What you will need
- J.D. degree (or foreign equivalent).
- Active membership in at least one US state bar.
- 10+ years of legal experience as a practicing attorney, including at a law firm and/or in-house experience with semiconductor or hardware companies.
- Expertise in technology transactions, intellectual property law, and software licensing.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders, from senior leaders to early career employees on the technical and business teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, project management and organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- Excellent drafting and written and verbal communication skills with the ability to break down complex legal jargon into easy-to-understand and practical advice.
- Familiarity with US export laws is highly desirable.
The base salary range is $230,000.00 USD – $280,000.00 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
