We all work out of our (legendary) San Francisco office, which was once used to build ships during the World Wars.
Our satellites, which operate from geostationary orbit (GEO), weigh only 400 kg and utilize a proprietary software-defined radio payload. Each satellite can connect over two million people, and we’re very excited for the impact we’ll soon have in the Philippines, Peru, Mexico, and more!

People Solutions Engineer - AI
Astranis is scaling quickly, and our People Team is evolving rapidly to keep pace. We're seeking a versatile People Solutions Engineer who blends technical acumen with operational savvy. This is an opportunity to build innovative, scalable, and automated solutions to critical People processes.

Role:

Execute and streamline essential People Operations processes such as onboarding, learning & development, and employee engagement.

Design and build AI-powered workflows and automation infrastructure to optimize productivity and efficiency across People systems.

Develop scalable integrations between various People systems (e.g., Paylocity, Greenhouse, Lattice, LMS).

Create and maintain internal documentation, policies, training content, and resources to support People Team operations.

Act as a cross-functional bridge, translating operational needs into robust technical solutions.

Vibe code to enhance platforms to drive scale, speed, and accuracy across People systems.
Requirements:

2+ years experience in People Operations, technical operations, or a systems-focused role.

Degree in a technical, systems, or data-related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Hands-on experience integrating and managing People systems (e.g., HRIS, ATS, LMS).

Familiarity with curriculum development, learning program design, and training delivery logistics.

Strong foundational understanding of data infrastructure.

Data-fluent; comfortable cleaning, analyzing, and visualizing workforce metrics.

Clear communicator with strong process-thinking skills, comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Bonus:

Experience building internal AI-driven tools or automation agents.

Background combining software development and People Operations.

Proficiency in scripting or automation (e.g., Python, JSON, N8N).

Familiarity with modern AI and LLM tooling (OpenAI, MCP, vector search).

Practical experience managing or supporting a Learning Management System at scale.
Base Salary
$110,000 - $130,000 USD
