Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented Land Solutions Financial Services Specialist to support financial operations and project success within our land acquisition efforts. This role requires strong analytical skills, exceptional organization, and the ability to manage financial data efficiently and accurately. This position is based in our Southfield, MI office and requires daily on-site presence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Trend Analysis & Performance Review: Identify and analyze program trends, performance standards, and quality control processes to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy.

  • Data Management: Collect, review, and analyze production data, damage surveys, and other relevant inputs necessary for calculating financial payments.

  • Payment Calculations: Accurately calculate monthly, quarterly, and annual payments, including royalty, option, crop, and damage compensation.

  • Funding Requests: Forecast, calculate, and prepare funding requests to ensure timely and accurate financial processing.

  • Tracker Development & Oversight: Develop and maintain program trackers to support payment calculations, ensuring systems remain up-to-date and reflective of financial status.

  • Document Management: Oversee the quality and accuracy of key project documents, including deeds, titles, appraisals, and supporting materials. Conduct quality assurance reviews and coordinate with teams for additional documentation as needed.

  • Workflow & Database Coordination: Manage land ownership research, landowner communications, project material preparation, and database workflows (e.g., geoAMPS) to maintain operational efficiency.

  • Communication & Collaboration: Serve as a liaison between Team Leaders, Project Managers, and clients by effectively communicating team priorities, conflicts, and updates.

  • Material Organization: Collect, organize, and maintain project materials in line with Atwell’s file management procedures.

  • Reporting & Compliance: Prepare monthly fee reports, monitor project performance, and ensure compliance with established standards and guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment, including computers, printers, and file systems.
  • Occasional movement within the office for accessing resources (e.g., filing cabinets, office machinery).
