Position Summary
The primary goal of a program management team is to achieve and communicate results that are in line with internal and external clients’ larger picture. This requires initiative and the ability to think creatively and innovatively. To achieve optimal performance, a Program Manager must be comfortable with generating ideas and strategies for quick response to challenges and changes in the market.
In addition to being a strategic thinker, a Program Manager must also have excellent communication skills. In this role, the Program Manager is responsible for designing and implementing BI solutions and executive reporting. This individual is responsible for understanding business data, aggregating data, analyzing data, generating reports and dashboards, and performing quality assurance testing to ensure the data presented is correct.
A successful Program Manager is someone who is able to understand the big picture and the day-to-day details and be able to report complex energy development projects to stakeholders by developing reusable and precise reports and dashboards.
Essential Functions
- Partner and work closely with project management and GIS teams to understand performance metrics.
 - Attend client meetings to understand client needs and priorities.
 - Assist with activities related to planning, scheduling, budgeting forecasting and executing projects.
 - Understand budgets to develop KPI metrics to assess project health.
 - Gather and analyze data to develop insightful conclusions and generate solutions to address internal and external client needs.
 - Develop Power BI reports and dashboards with data and analytical models using data from a variety of sources, making informed assumptions when necessary.
 - Simultaneously manage multiple projects. Effectively communicate project status to stakeholders.
 - Demonstrate attention to detail, work well in a team environment, be adaptable, scrappy, and resourceful.
 - Provide training and support to team members.
 - Ability to work in a small team environment that takes on multiple priorities and responsibilities throughout the week with little to no daily management oversight
 - Must be able prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment and work well within a team-oriented environment as well as being able to work independently.
 - Strong analytical skills with a problem-solving attitude.
 - Create and adopt standard reporting procedures and systems.

Education
- A four-year degree (BA or BS)
 
Experience
- 2 years of understanding data applications key concepts and optimization.
 - 2 years of experience in Power BI data analytics implementation, from requirements gathering with business partners, through development, testing, training, and implementation.
 - Project management/development experience helpful.
 - Strong organizational, task and time management skills.
 - Must possess strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills for dealing with clients, team member sand prospective clients.
 - GIS experience helpful.
 - MS Office.
 
Scope of Authority
- Has authority to work independently but also has considerable responsibility to work closely with leadership.
 
- Has considerable authority to train, mentor, and work with other project team members.
