Receptionist, Private Debt 

Audax Private Debt is looking for a Receptionist/Administrative Assistant to support our growing office. The Receptionist will provide general office support and assist with a variety of administrative tasks.

The ideal candidate will be extremely well organized with a proven ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. This person must enjoy the administrative challenges of supporting an office of highly educated individuals with diverse backgrounds and can work independently, with little or no supervision. To be successful in this role, they must have a positive, can-do attitude, and be a self-starter. In addition, they must react and respond to requests quickly, execute tasks effectively, follow-up, and be able to prioritize well.

In this role, it is essential to be an all-around team player. The candidate must be able to interact with Managing Directors, Deal Staff, and internal staff. They must be able to work under pressure while remaining flexible, initiative-taking, resourceful and efficient at all times. A high level of professionalism and confidentiality is crucial for this role, as well as the ability to work as part of a seamless team in conjunction with other Audax Group offices.

Responsibilities Include:

Receptionist (80%):

  • Coverage of reception area which includes assisting with guests, phone inquiries, and directing calls to the appropriate team members
  • Cordial greeting of external visitors
  • Maintaining and scheduling conference rooms and video-conference set-ups
  • Placing food/catering orders and catering/meal set-up
  • Ensuring that the reception and conference rooms are clean and well-maintained
  • Receiving and signing for deliveries/packages
  • Assisting employees with outgoing mail prep, faxing, and sundry requests
  • Maintaining employee communal areas including the kitchen (cleaning, stocking supplies and drinks)
  • Ordering kitchen supplies, arranging food orders and catering
  • Ordering office supplies
  • Delivery of faxes, mail, newspapers, and periodicals
  • Maintaining guest spaces (offices and workstations)

Administrative Assistant (20%)

  • Providing administrative support to junior Deal Team members which includes coordinating travel, processing expense reports, and other administrative tasks
  • Providing administrative support to visitors from other Audax offices
  • Varying levels of personal errands and projects
  • Performing special projects as needed

Skills and Experience:

  • Excellent customer service skills and reception/phone skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Solid knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Demonstrate the ability to take initiative and identify needs, along with the flexibility to help where needed
  • Flexible to be accessible after-hours and on weekends
  • Two plus years of relevant and successful work experience
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

LOCATION: New York, NY. In Office 4 days/week (Friday's Remote) Hours: 8:00AM - 5:00PM EST

 

 

 

For New York City only: The base salary range for this position is $65k- $70k. The base salary range represents the estimated low and high end for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation may vary and will be determined based on but not limited to, the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and Audax reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. An employee may also be eligible for annual discretionary incentive compensation based on performance.
