Director of Product Marketing

As Director of Product Marketing at AvidXchange, you will spearhead a high-
performing team to drive adoption and revenue growth across our product portfolio. You will have experience leading channel and industry product marketing, with a foundational understanding of the buyer-supplier ecosystem.  Your mandate: operationalize our go-to-market engine, activate teams around a unified vision, and execute strategic marketing initiatives that accelerate growth and transformation.

What You'll Do:

  • Change Leadership & Team Enablement: Lead and inspire Product Marketing Managers through transformational change, fostering a culture of agility, accountability, and operational rigor. Establish clear repeatable motions and processes to ensure seamless sales alignment and market readiness for every launch.
  • Go-to-Market Execution: Architect and operationalize robust GTM plans, rapidly adapting messaging, positioning, and demand generation strategies for new launches and market expansion. Embed continuous improvement into all go-to-market activities. Instill a culture of flawless project management and effective cross functional team communication and accountability.
  • Market Segmentation, Sizing, & ICP Ownership: Use advanced analytics to define, iterate, and target Ideal Customer Profiles, ensuring precision in market focus and sales strategy across key verticals.  Ensure market insights are regularly integrated across the PDLC as well as forecasts.
  • Cross-Functional Operationalization: Build and operationalize playbooks, enablement assets, and high-impact content for sales, CSM, and channel teams, empowering them to win complex deals, drive cross/upsell opportunities, and support customer success. Drive critical PMM Support of the Product organization. Reimagine product demo and explainer video production assets that can be leveraged across teams throughout the PDLC.
  • Performance Analytics & Change Management: Rigorously monitor pipeline, ACV, and adoption metrics, partnering with cross-functional leaders to instill a performance-driven culture focused on outcomes and adaptability.
  • Customer Success Integration: Amplify customer stories and proof points, working with brand and advocacy marketing to fuel market credibility and sales velocity.

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven Change Leader: 3+ years leading and scaling product marketing teams, with a track record in operationalizing cross-functional initiatives and driving transformation.
  • Operational Excellence: 8+ years in product marketing/management, B2B SaaS expertise, and mastery of go-to-market disciplines at speed and scale.
  • Deal Team Partner: Deep experience supporting enterprise sales cycles, driving RFPs, and operationalizing executive-level presentations.
  • Industry Insight: Strong background in AP Automation, fintech, or key verticals (construction, healthcare, manufacturing, financial services).
  • Strategic & Analytical Mindset: Data-driven approach, expert in market segmentation, performance measurement, and change navigation.
  • Innovation: Foundational knowledge and understanding of how to leverage AI to accelerate repeatable motions and accelerate product marketing efficiency. Ability to source/ recommend better ways of working and lead teams to adopt technological tools and process.
  • Inspirational Collaborator: Experience uniting diverse teams, instilling operational discipline, and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
