Director of Engineering

Axiad is looking for an experienced Director of Engineering to lead and grow our engineering team in India.  This is a full-time position out of our Hyderabad office.

Role Responsibilities

  • Build and manage a team of high performing developers and quality automation engineers across multiple disciplines in India.
  • This is a leadership role with focus on people and process development.
  • Lead the recruitment process and hire the best talent for the team.
  • Promote a culture of transparency, innovation and teamwork within the team.
  • Participate in strategic discussions with the engineering leadership and enable team members to deliver upon engineering and cross-functional OKRs.
  • Collaborate and work effectively with people in different time zones across different functional disciplines like Product Management, Customer Success, etc.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science (or higher), minimum of 10 years leadership experience managing people with overall 15+ years of development / infrastructure experience.
  • Clear written and verbal communications skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Attention to detail, self-motivated, creative and flexible
  • Experience with code reviews and test coverage to evaluate and communicate quality information with the team

Bonus Experience:

  • Development experience in Go, Java and Springboot framework and have interest in or existing experience security domain.
  • Experience in Test Driven Development.
