Axle is seeking a Qlik Developer to join our vibrant team at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) supporting the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) located in Rockville, MD.

Summary:
The ideal Qlik Developer candidate will excel at building intuitive data visualizations and leveraging advanced data analytics to drive mission-critical insights. We seek a mix of technical and business experience in mission-oriented environments.
Candidates will work closely with our team to design and develop solutions to take to market and provide expertise and implementation support to project teams to implement client solutions. Candidates will also create technical solutions, data storage tools, and conduct tests. We are looking for candidates who have worked in a federal environment and can hold an active public trust clearance.
Responsibilities:

Develop and optimize interactive dashboards and advanced data analytics solutions using Qlik Sense, QlikView, ensuring clarity, speed, and usability.

Design data models and ETL pipelines, optimizing performance for large-scale data environments.

Apply best practices in data visualization, ensuring dashboards effectively communicate insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and develop data-driven solutions that enhance decision-making.

Implement governance, security, and performance tuning strategies to maximize the efficiency of BI platforms.

Support ad-hoc analytics requests and troubleshoot data-related issues.

Provide Qlik SME support for building new reports, visualizations AND debug production issues.
Top Skills:
-
3-5 years of expert hands-on knowledge of Qlik (Sense/QlikView) with experience building intuitive data visualizations and leveraging advanced data analytics to drive mission-critical insights.

Ability to quickly provide exceptional support for Qlik related queries.

Work closely with federal stakeholders to understand business needs and design / develop solutions to take to market and provide expertise and implementation support to project teams to implement client solutions.

Help create technical solutions, data storage tools, and conduct tests.
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in technology, business, mathematics, computer science, information systems, or other related discipline from an accredited U.S. institution

3-5+ years consulting or IT experience.

Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance.
-
Strong proficiency in SQL and experience working with databases such as PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or Oracle.

Expertise in data modeling, ETL processes, scripting, and performance optimization.

Familiarity with cloud-based BI solutions (AWS, Azure) is a plus.

Experience applying advanced analytics techniques to enhance BI dashboards.

Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex data in a clear and compelling way.

Ability to be on-site two days a week. (Local to DMV area preferred)

Qlik certifications a big plus.

This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range listed below. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location.
