Our Ways of Working

Babylist thrives as a remote-first company, with HQ team members located across the U.S. and Canada. We meet in person twice a year—once as a company and once by department to strengthen the relationships that power our work. We show up consistently, stay purpose-driven, and achieve results —together, from anywhere.

This role requires being onsite full-time in Columbus, Ohio (Lockbourne) for the first 6 months, then shifts to a 50% onsite / 50% remote hybrid schedule. Candidates must live in the Eastern Time Zone and be able to travel to Columbus (Lockbourne) during onsite weeks if not local.

What the Role Is

At Babylist, we exist to serve new and expecting parents — helping them make confident decisions, connect with their community, and feel truly ready to welcome their newest family member. As we continue to scale rapidly, we’re looking for a seasoned, accomplished operations executive — someone ready to lead at a high level, not seeking a first-time opportunity — who’s excited to shape the future of how we deliver joy, trust, and care to millions of families.

As Director of Supply Chain Operations, you will be the strategic and operational leader across Babylist’s internal fulfillment center, 3PL partnerships, and outbound inventory movement. This is a critical, high-growth role at a transformative moment for our business: in 2024 alone, we fulfilled millions of orders — and we’re just getting started.

This is a rare opportunity for an experienced leader to build and scale a distribution network within a mission-driven, tech-enabled brand, working at the intersection of logistics, customer experience, and innovation. You’ll set the standard for operational excellence and executional leadership at Babylist. We’re seeking a proven, results-driven operator who thrives on solving complex fulfillment challenges through data-driven insights, process ownership, and a relentless focus on continuous improvement. This is not an entry point into executive operations leadership — the right candidate will bring deep, hands-on experience in fulfillment strategy, team development, and scaling high-performance distribution networks.

Who You Are

  • A senior operations executive with 15+ years of experience in supply chain, fulfillment, and logistics, specializing in scaling e-commerce fulfillment and multi-node distribution in high-growth environments
  • Passionate about operational excellence and delivering best-in-class customer experiences
  • 10+ years leading large-scale teams and managing complex operations across internal and third-party facilities, including 5+ years at the Director level or above
  • A strong, respected people leader—known for developing talent, setting high standards, and leading teams through change
  • Skilled in balancing strategic vision with immediate tactical execution
  • Experienced in Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies
  • Deep understanding of fulfillment technology systems (WMS, TMS, OMS) and automation tools
  • Strong financial acumen—comfortable managing P&Ls, influencing investment decisions, and optimizing unit economics
  • Expertise in designing and scaling kitting operations, inventory control, and return flows
  • An empathetic, mission-aligned operator who leads with humility and accountability

How You Will Make An Impact

  • Take full ownership of inbound, outbound, and fulfillment functions—setting a 6–12 month roadmap while laying the foundation for long-term scale
  • Directly impact new parents by ensuring every package is handled with care, knowing it may be the first item they receive for their new baby
  • Partner cross-functionally with Supply Chain Strategy Managers, Data Engineering, Finance, and Merchandising to drive innovation and enhance the customer experience
  • Serve as a core member of the Supply Chain Operations leadership team, reporting to the SVP of Supply Chain and working closely with senior company leadership
  • Architect and lead Babylist’s end-to-end Fulfillment Network, including internal fulfillment centers and 3PL partnerships
  • Set and execute strategic objectives across inbound, outbound, and inventory management operations
  • Build and sustain a high-performing, customer-obsessed fulfillment team that embraces a culture of continuous improvement
  • Own performance management for the outbound network, driving KPIs, throughput, cost efficiency, and service-level excellence
  • Lead operational planning and execution for capacity management, automation, system upgrades, and growth readiness
  • Optimize fulfillment processes, including Pick/Pack/Ship, inventory accuracy, kitting, and reverse logistics (grading, liquidation, restocking)
  • Develop and implement scalable standard operating procedures using value stream mapping, lean workflows, and tech integrations
  • Champion Babylist’s core values—Deliver with Care, Extreme Prioritization, Proactive Communication, and Owning the Outcome—in every aspect of fulfillment operations

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
