Our Ways of Working

Babylist thrives as a remote-first company, with HQ team members located across the U.S. and Canada. We meet in person twice a year—once as a company and once by department to strengthen the relationships that power our work. We show up consistently, stay purpose-driven, and achieve results —together, from anywhere.

This role requires working co-located with your innovation team to enable rapid collaboration and iteration. Target locations are Montreal, Quebec and Boston, Massachusetts.

What the Role Is

Babylist is seeking an entrepreneurial, 0-to-1 Product Manager to lead our newest venture—a standalone app that helps families stay connected for all the moments that matter. You'll be the founding product leader building experiences that amplify the natural love and excitement around growing families, from first smiles to first birthdays and beyond. This isn't just product management—it's product entrepreneurship. You'll work with a small, co-located team operating autonomously outside of Babylist's current processes and tech stack. In a 9-month sprint, you'll design and rapidly prototype an entirely new product from concept to validated product vision and direction. You'll be the visionary leader, execution force, and founding CEO of this new "seed stage" business within Babylist. You'll build across web and mobile platforms, creating experiences that bring families closer together through sharing, connection, and meaningful interactions around life's biggest moments. This is hands-on work that demands both strategic vision and execution speed, with the autonomy to explore bold ideas while staying laser-focused on what families actually need.

Who You Are

  • You have deep product expertise with 7+ years in product management, owning and scaling mobile-first consumer products from 0-to-1; thrives in ambiguity and brings a strong track record across social, messaging, ecommerce, gifting, or family domains.
  • You thrive in ambiguity and act with urgency. You don’t wait for permission to solve problems, whatever form they take
  • You obsess over your users. You seek to understand not just what they do, but why—and what they wish they could do. You’ve built experiences that users love and stick with, especially ones tied to emotion, identity, or everyday habits
  • You communicate with conviction, able to lead from the front driven by your strong sense of product vision
  • You are an exceptional team leader and will be the anchor hire for a new team co-located near you.  You will be responsible for setting team norms and processes to ensure success of the entire team.  You are excited to see them every day and thrive in synchronous work with a close-knit team
  • You have an ability to balance your big ideas with small execution, you don’t build more than you need at this moment and understand when scalability is valuable and when it is not

How You Will Make An Impact

  • Lead Product Vision & Strategy - You will serve as the visionary leader for this new product – steering the ship with strong opinions, loosely held.  You will define and evolve the product vision, grounded in deep customer understanding and big ideas about redefining family connection. You will own what we’re delivering, to whom, and why.
  • Own Execution with Entrepreneurial Energy - You will own the product roadmap and OKRs, ruthlessly prioritizing to validate ideas, ship early iterations, and find product market fit.  You will drive cross-functional collaboration across your standalone team (design, engineering, and ops) to maximize the speed to learning. Personally, you move easily between the strategic and the tactical: from defining success metrics to QA’ing a release.
  • Champion the Voice of the Customer - You obsess over the real experiences of modern families—building feedback loops that go beyond NPS or metrics, you’ll know how people feel about what we’re building, and why it matters. You will validate concepts through qualitative research, user immersion, and rapid prototyping, distilling insights into clear product direction and driving a culture of learning and fast iteration within the team.
  • Drive Business Impact to Unlock Additional Investment - You will deliver a validated product hypothesis and direction within 9 months to unlock additional “funding” from Babylist to scale to Product Market Fit. In doing this, you will think beyond features—defining success in terms of customer love, retention, and monetizable behaviors (including gifting).

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
