Please Note: This is a Utah-based hybrid position which will require some regular in-office days each week. Additionally, employment with BambooHR is contingent on passing both a background and credit check. 

Essential Job Duties

BambooHR is looking for a Business Systems Architect to lead the design and implementation of our business systems solutions. You will be responsible for creating a scalable and resilient technology landscape by translating business needs into technical strategy, optimizing systems with intelligent automation, and integrating new AI-enhanced technologies. With a deep technical understanding of modern business systems, you will lead the architectural strategy across marketing, sales, customer service, and finance. This role acts as a strategic advisor on technology improvements with an emphasis on AI-driven transformation while also providing the technical leadership and mentorship to refine our team's best practices.

You will:

  • Act as a strategic advisor to business leaders on technology improvements that focus on business transformation initiatives
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of business processes and define how technology and AI can best improve them
  • Collaborate with product owners and business systems administrators to translate business requirements into a coherent technical strategy
  • Design and architect scalable, resilient, and integrated business systems solutions that optimize existing software technologies
  • Define the architecture for cross-system integrations and data flows to ensure seamless communication between business systems
  • Evaluate and recommend AI-enhanced solutions where intelligent automation can improve system performance and user experience
  • Advocate for improvements to product quality, usability, and performance through architectural guidance
  • Communicate technical solutions and design tradeoffs effectively to both technical and business stakeholders
  • Provide mentoring and coaching to other Business Systems Architects to refine best practices and processes

What You Need to Get the Job Done

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
  • 7-10 years of relevant experience in technical architecture roles
  • Expertise in integrating business systems across multiple areas of business, like sales, marketing, customer service, and finance
  • Strong experience with the Salesforce Platform and Amazon Web Services
  • Experience implementing AI-powered solutions such as intelligent automation, predictive analytics, or conversational AI
  • Demonstrated ability to architect systems that leverage machine learning for optimization or predictive capabilities
  • Strong understanding of network and system development and deployment from an architectural perspective
  • Ability to think strategically and prioritize architectural initiatives
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual abilities
  • Strong influence and collaboration abilities
