Job Profile:
We are seeking a Legal Assistant based in Karachi, Pakistan where our Excellence Center sits to support our global operations by assisting with corporate governance, document management, compliance, and administrative duties.
This is an in-office position, requiring the candidate to work on-site five (5) days a week at Banyan Software’s Excellence Center in Karachi, Pakistan.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with international teams to provide administrative and organizational support, ensuring effective communication and coordination across different time zones.
- Assist with forming and managing corporate entities, including drafting templated documents, resolutions, and coordinating signatures.
- Use entity management software to organize, file, and maintain electronic minute books and other corporate records.
- Establish and maintain organized systems for document management, including consistent naming conventions and tracking important deadlines such as annual filings and other key dates.
- Assist with annual filings and governance documentation, including director and officer changes.
- Coordinate insurance-related tasks, including ensuring the timely cancellation of pre-existing policies for newly acquired entities post-acquisition and supporting the preparation of documents for policy renewals.
- Assist in drafting and preparing various legal documents, including contracts, amendments, legal letters, and notices, ensuring accuracy, consistency with templates, and alignment with legal and business requirements.
Education and Professional Skills/Knowledge:
- Bachelor’s degree in law, business administration, or a related field is preferred. Alternatively, candidates with legal assistant college training, relevant course certifications, or equivalent practical experience in the field are also encouraged to apply.
- We are seeking a candidate with a minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a legal assistant. Prior knowledge and experience in corporate governance or legal documentation is preferred, and exposure to transactional work (mergers and acquisitions) is a valuable bonus
- Strong command of English, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in legal document management systems (or willingness to learn).
- Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with international teams
