Role: Strategic Finance Business Partner

Location: Guelph, ON (Hybrid: Mon, Tues, Thurs in-office)
Reports to: Operations Leader at Camis | Finance Partner: Banyan Finance Team
Compensation: CAD $100K base + $10K bonus (target)

Camis, Inc., a Banyan Software operating company is a reservations and facilities management solutions for government operated parks, campgrounds, marinas, and harbors. Through their online reservation systems and call center services, Camis’ Software as a service (SaaS) solution meets the needs of over 1,320 government and privately-operated parks, campgrounds, harbors, and marinas across North America.  

The Opportunity

Camis is seeking a strategic, analytically driven Strategic Finance Business Partner to act as a trusted partner to our leadership team. This newly created role will shape the way we use financial data to make smarter decisions across all functions, with a particular focus on operations, software engineering, and product.

As Camis continues to scale, we need someone who can go beyond traditional FP&A to deliver business-critical insights, drive forecasting discipline, and help departments unlock new value through data. This role is ideal for someone with strong financial fluency and business curiosity, who thrives in dynamic environments and enjoys translating numbers into action.

You’ll join a high-impact operations team and collaborate closely with Banyan’s central finance group, gaining mentorship and exposure while owning Camis’s strategic finance rhythms.

What You’ll Do

Strategic Finance Partnership

  • Own the planning cycle: Lead Camis’s annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes, working directly with departmental leaders and aligning with Banyan’s frameworks.
  • Support business reviews: Prepare financial reports and strategic insights for quarterly business reviews and executive presentations.
  • Surface opportunities: Highlight risks, inefficiencies, and value levers across service delivery, software licensing, and client profitability.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Build reporting infrastructure: Develop and maintain dashboards, scorecards, and reports to provide visibility into financial performance and KPIs.
  • Conduct variance analysis: Drive monthly spend and revenue reviews, distilling key takeaways and influencing decisions at the departmental level.
  • Lead cost structure analysis: Analyze staffing models, seasonal labor costs, contribution margin, and P&L by client to inform operational planning.

Cross-functional Enablement

  • Collaborate across teams: Partner with operations, support, HR, and product to provide meaningful financial insights that guide day-to-day execution.
  • Work with Banyan Finance: Coordinate with the central finance team on NetSuite use, budget models, and onboarding.
  • Drive continuous improvement: Suggest enhancements to internal budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes based on best practices.

What You Bring

  • 5–7 years of progressive experience in FP&A, business finance, or strategic finance roles.
  • Proven experience partnering with operations, engineering, or product teams in a technology, software, or services-based business.
  • Strong working knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting frameworks.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for financial modelling and dashboard creation.
  • Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP/reporting systems.
  • Excellent business acumen and communication skills—able to explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders clearly.
  • Track record of working independently, managing competing priorities, and driving outcomes with minimal oversight.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (MBA or CPA is a plus).
  • Bonus: Familiarity with contribution margin analysis, client-level P&L, and seasonal labour forecasting.
