This position will be a hybrid work schedule, working 4 days a week in office with one day from home. 

 

The Big Picture:

We’re seeking a strategic and detail-oriented E-Commerce Transportation Manager to oversee and optimize all day-to-day parcel shipping and delivery operations from our New Jersey facility. This role is critical to ensure seamless and exceptional customer experience by partnering with carriers and driving efficiency in both domestic and international shipping processes.

As a core member of our logistics team, you will work closely with leadership to ensure performance standards are met, while collaborating cross-functionally with Customer Experience (CX), Warehouse Operations, Product Management, Sales, and Finance to drive seamless end-to-end delivery experiences.

Day-to-Day:

  • Partner with the Director of Logistics and Supply Chain on carrier performance and ensuring the overall companies logistics strategy is met.
  • Report day-to-day to the Sr. Manager of Fulfillment & Operations, supporting the execution of efficient and successful shipping operations.
  • Manage shipping compliance for outbound customer shipments both domestically and international.
  • Track and report on carrier service levels, providing actionable insights to leadership and recommending improvements.
  • Continuously assess and improve routing guides and carrier selection strategies in collaboration with corporate HQ.
  • Identify and assess opportunities for innovative logistics solutions to improve speed and costs.
  • Ensure carrier invoicing accurately, and credits or refunds due are issued.
  • Partner with CX Director to optimize customer communications related to tracking shipments and status updates ensuring customers are confident about their delivery status.
  • Assist in optimizing inbound shipments via LTL or other consolidated services

The Right Person for the job has:

  • Experience working with high-growth e-commerce companies (B2B or B2C)
  • Strong knowledge of parcel shipping, rates, and carrier performance management.
  • Ability to define KPIs, build performance dashboards, and provide insights that drive action.
  • Demonstrated cross-functional collaboration with CX and product management teams to develop new workflows, customer communications, and system capabilities
  • Experience with customs compliance and working with customs brokers to ensure efficient international shipping.

Preferred Education & Experience:

  • Fundamental computer literacy required
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Years of experience: 6-8

We are pleased to share the base salary range for this position is $95,000 to $110,00. If you are hired at BDA, your compensation will be determined based on factors that may include geographic location, skills, education, and experience. In addition to these factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any offer. In the spirit of pay transparency, the range listed is the full base salary range for the role and hiring at the top of the range would not be typical, in order to allow for future salary growth. The range listed is just one component of BDA’s total compensation and rewards programs, which includes: robust PTO; vacation, a paid volunteer day, holidays and summer Fridays, Benefits; medical, dental, vision, life, and AD&D insurance, 401k; tuition reimbursement, mental health and financial wellness programs and professional development opportunities including tuition reimbursement. Certain revenue-generating positions may be eligible for incentive compensation.
