Head of KZ
We are looking for a talented Head of Kazakhstan to lead our gaming operations with Betsson.kz, offered in the Kazakhstan market by BHG LLP. This is a unique opportunity to shape the strategic direction of a leading brand in a fast-growing market. You will be responsible for overseeing the full scope of our operations—driving growth, ensuring compliance, and creating the best possible experience for our customers.
As the leader of our Kazakhstan operations, you will collaborate closely with central departments while managing cross-functional local teams. Your role will be pivotal in aligning strategic initiatives, optimizing operations, and adapting our offering to meet the needs of the local market. With a strong data-driven approach, you’ll ensure we stay competitive and aligned with customer expectations.
Main Responsibilities
The main responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Collaborating with central teams to lead and oversee the local market strategy and operations, promoting collaboration and alignment among cross-reporting teams.
- Driving revenue growth by monetizing customers and implementing local market plans. Managing the local budget and reviewing and approving quarterly market and CRM plans in coordination with central teams.
- Taking accountability for the entire customer life cycle from acquisition to retention.
- Working closely with the Marketing Manager and central marketing teams to enhance brand awareness through various marketing channels, keeping a keen eye on market trends.
- Overseeing, identifying areas for improvement, and enhancing the customer experience and journey.
- Collaborating closely with the Product Development team to drive product innovation initiatives tailored to the local market needs. Ensuring that our product portfolio remains competitive and compliant with relevant regulations and standards.
- Optimising daily operations to improve quarterly performance and achieve annual revenue targets.
- Ensuring all executions are compliant within the market and staying informed of competition and industry/market trends.
- Acting as the primary liaison and advocate for the Betsson Group's interests in interactions with local regulatory bodies, strategic partners, and the public sphere within the market.
Requirements
- Senior-level experience in the iGaming industry with a proven track record of leading high-performing teams
- Strong financial acumen with hands-on P&L ownership experience
- Highly data-driven with strong KPI management skills
- Deep understanding of the customer lifecycle and customer value strategies
- Proven experience working closely with Product Owners on market-specific innovations
- Hands-on, motivational leadership style with excellent people management capabilities
- Fluent in Kazakh, Russian, and English
