SRE Lead

The Role

The SRE Lead is a vital role within the Blenheim Chalcot portfolio and Salary Finance. You will gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced and progressive environment, where you will support us in building our next generation of GenAI enabled tech businesses.

Must Have:

  • Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) tool Terraform.
  • Experience in Docker and container orchestration.
  • Commercial experience in building and deploying CI/CD pipelines using the following: AWS CodePipeline,  CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, Terraform, Github, GitHub Actions and TeamCity.
  • Proficient in AWS services like IAM, EC2, ECS, Lambda, VPC, Subnets etc.
  • Experience of AWS Well-Architected framework, and the implementation of AWS security services.
  • Some experience of programming in one or more of the following languages: C#, Python, Go, Node Js, Vue JS
  • Ability to debug, optimise code, and automate routine tasks, using Python, Bash or other shell languages.
  • Experience of centralised log management & other Observability tooling (Cloudwatch, Honeycomb and Grafana)
  • Experience of ECS/Kubernetes/EKS & Docker, creating and managing AMIs
  • Experience with management of large scale, high transactional systems using RDS, My SQL Aurora, MS SQL Server
  • Experience implementing security best practices, working with security tooling and SIEM tools, to prevent security incidents by design.
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Passion for staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools, frameworks, and methodologies.

Good to have:

  • Experience of deploying and managing Landing Zones
  • Understanding of cloud-native architectures and distributed services.
  • Experience in designing, analysing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems.
  • Systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with effective communication skills, and the determination to identify and solve the challenging problems that come up.
