About the Team: Crafting Exceptional User Experiences for SMB Financial Services
At Bluevine, our team is committed to revolutionizing financial services for SMBs by delivering fast, flexible, and intuitive solutions. As a Senior Fullstack Engineer, you'll collaborate closely with our product managers and designers to design and develop best-in-class responsive banking applications. What You'll Do
- Work on our flagship product - our Bluevine banking application
- Design and build complex, state-of-the-art, responsive banking applications
- Scale our banking application to meet the evolving needs of SMBs.
- Collaborate with product managers to develop compelling product roadmaps and features
- Partner with designers to find elegant solutions to usability problems
- Provide mentorship to other engineers on the team
What We Look For
- Experience: 5+ years of experience designing and building fast, reliable, scalable client-server applications
- Collaborative Mindset: Openness to working effectively within a team environment
- Backend Proficiency: Working knowledge of Python, with experience in Flask/Django
- Frontend Frameworks: Working knowledge of front-end JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Angular, React, or VueJS)
- Testing Skills: Experience writing unit and integration tests with various testing frameworks like Jest
- Web Technologies: Deep Knowledge of JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3
- API Development: Experience with RESTful APIs
- Design Sensibility: Strong sense of design and meticulous attention to detail in web application
- Education or Equivalent Experience: Hands-on experience in designing and building fast, reliable, and scalable web applications, along with demonstrated proficiency in relevant technologies, is recognized in place of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
Nice To Haves
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, but equivalent experience in designing and building fast, reliable, and scalable web applications will also be considered.
- Experience with responsive design development to ensure optimal user experience across devices.
- Experience with ORM, SQL, and Data Modeling
- Experience with monitoring tools, dashboards, and visualizations
- Experience with cloud-based applications and cloud service providers such as AWS
- Experience working with relational Databases (e.g. SQLite, MySQL, PostgreSQL etc.)
- Experience in FinTech company

New Hire Base Salary Range: $155,500-$190,500
This role is also eligible to earn annual performance-based incentive compensation in the form of a cash bonus.
This is a hybrid role. At Bluevine, we pride ourselves on our collaborative culture, which we believe is best maintained through in-person interactions and a vibrant office environment. All of our offices have reopened following local guidelines, and this location is following a hybrid model, which is two days a week on Tuesday and Thursdays.
