The BSA Compliance Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring Bluevine’s compliance with Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) regulations and internal policies. Reporting directly to the BSA Officer, you will lead internal monitoring and testing activities, coordinating with various business teams to gather necessary information for internal control testing. You’ll also act as a subject matter expert and primary contact for first-line teams, ensuring adherence to all relevant regulations and assisting in the development and enhancement of BSA-related processes and controls.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Monitoring & Testing: Lead internal monitoring and testing efforts to assess compliance with BSA regulations.
- Coordination: Collaborate with various business units to obtain required data elements for control testing.
- Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as a point of contact for first-line teams, providing guidance on compliance matters.
- Audit Coordination: Work with the BSA Officer and internal teams to respond to audit and bank partner requests.
- Reporting Management: Oversee unusual activity reporting and manage 314(a) compliance.
- Reporting & Analysis: Prepare monthly reports, identify trends, investigate root causes, and address potential issues.
- Issue Remediation: Assist in remediation efforts by collaborating with the BSA Officer and relevant business partners to address identified gaps and implement recommendations.
- Policy Maintenance: Maintain and update the BSA Policy and related procedures.
- Ad Hoc Requests: Respond to ad hoc requests, escalate issues as needed, and incorporate feedback from manager reviews and quality control processes.
WHAT WE LOOK FOR:
- 5+ years of BSA Compliance experience; commercial banking and/or fintech experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- A deep understanding of the Bank Secrecy Act, USA PATRIOT Act, and other relevant regulations, guidelines, and best practices
- Strategic experience developing and implementing BSA controls
- Ability to analyze complex data, detect patterns, and identify unusual activity
- Experience conducting risk assessments and developing risk mitigation strategies
- Prior experience with external audit, regulators, or bank partners
- Strong attention to detail; excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Understanding of regulatory landscape changes related to money laundering and financial crimes

New Hire Base Salary Range: $102,400 - $122,900
This role is also eligible to earn annual performance-based incentive compensation in the form of a cash bonus.

This is a hybrid role. At Bluevine, we have a collaborative culture and follow a hybrid model, working onsite Tuesdays and Thursdays in Redwood City.
