What does a Product Support Placement Student actually do?

Product Support is a central pillar at Box. We are intelligent, resourceful, clever, and committed. We break through walls to solve our customers' problems. We don't follow scripts. We listen, understand, and act as internal advocates for some of the world's largest enterprises. We are evaluated on our ability to GSD, not churn through cases.

Beyond solving our customer's problems via phone and email, you will continually analyse quantitative and qualitative user trends and share them with the Product, Engineering, Marketing, and others. We are product experts and can articulate our customers' business need. We are a user advocate and a consultant for Box's full suite of web and desktop applications and services.

What does that mean day to day?

  • Utilise both your technical and relational skills to lead projects to completion.

  • Use your analytical skills to tell the data story in finding operational efficiencies.

  • Perform data segmentation and aggregation from scratch.

  • Collaborate with teammates to troubleshoot issues and Blow Our Customers' Minds.

  • Work with colleagues both in Europe  and in the United States.

What is Box looking for?

Communication - you are known for building strong relationships in and outside of your core studies.

Drive – demonstrates a level of resilience to overcome objections and have a “can do” attitude to delivering personal goals. Demonstrate a passion for troubleshooting issues.

Attention to detail: Everybody makes mistakes, even the most detail oriented employee. You will be detail oriented by nature, able to fail fast and prioritise effectively ensuring quality on sometimes tight deadlines.

Analytics Skills: Able to perform data segmentation and aggregation from scratch.

To be eligible you must be an undergraduate student in a placement year course returning to study Autumn 2027, you also will need to have the right to work in UK already in place.

If you are studying something Computer Science or Engineering related it would be a plus, however from experience you don’t need a specific degree background to be successful as a placement student in box.
