In This Role
You will be part of a data science and analytics team responsible for analyzing large-scale user and business datasets. The focus is on understanding how product features impact acquisition, engagement, and retention, and providing actionable insights to leadership. This role combines data analysis, machine learning, and reporting to influence product strategy and growth while working closely with cross-functional stakeholders across business, product, finance, and engineering.
Responsibilities
- Analyze key business and product metrics, track performance movements, and provide clear and timely reporting.
- Build, maintain, and optimize dashboards and reports to support leadership decision-making.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis on large datasets to uncover usage trends, patterns, and opportunities.
- Apply statistical and machine learning methods to generate hypotheses, test scenarios, and develop predictive insights.
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, analysts, and business teams to align insights with product and organizational goals.
- Deliver recommendations to improve user satisfaction, product adoption, and retention.
- Support regular reporting cadences, including weekly metric updates and ad-hoc analysis requests.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Econometrics, or related quantitative field.
- 2–4 years of professional experience in data analytics, business insights, or data science roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with SQL and at least one scripting language (Python or R).
- Proven experience working with big data platforms such as Databricks, CosmosDB, Hadoop, or equivalent cloud technologies.
- Proficiency with reporting and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Excel, or similar).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting insights to stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in hypothesis-driven experimentation (A/B testing, funnel analysis, or similar).
- Exposure to machine learning frameworks (Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch) for predictive modeling.
- Familiarity with cloud data infrastructure (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
- Track record of identifying gaps in business or product performance and delivering actionable insights.
- Ability to thrive in collaborative, cross-functional environments with multiple competing priorities.
Salary Range
Pay ranges vary based on multiple factors including, without limitation, skill sets, education, responsibilities, experience, and geographical market. The pay range for this position reflects geographic based ranges for Washington state: $90,000 to $100,000 USD/annually. The salary/wage and job title for this opening will be based on the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience and may be outside this range.
