Senior Data Scientist - Marketing Analytics

In This Role
In this role with our client, you will serve as a senior data science partner focused on monetization strategy for a large-scale digital entertainment platform. You will apply advanced analytics, experimentation, and predictive modeling to generate insights that improve subscription performance, digital content sales, and creator-driven revenue streams. This position is highly cross-functional and involves close collaboration with business, product, marketing, and finance stakeholders to influence decisions, shape strategy, and improve the customer experience while driving measurable business growth.
Responsibilities
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to define measurement strategies and key performance indicators for marketing campaigns
- Analyze digital marketing performance, including acquisition, reactivation, and retention metrics
- Develop and execute campaign post-mortems to evaluate effectiveness and identify optimization opportunities
- Build and maintain attribution models to connect marketing inputs (spend, impressions) to downstream outcomes (engagement, revenue)
- Design and analyze marketing funnels to uncover performance gaps and growth opportunities
- Create audience segmentation frameworks to support targeted marketing efforts
- Collaborate with data engineering and analytics teams to build scalable data pipelines, reporting solutions, and automation
- Design, implement, and maintain ETL processes for large-scale data systems
- Develop and optimize database structures and queries for efficient data access and analysis
- Present insights and recommendations to stakeholders, influencing marketing and investment decisions
- Ensure data accuracy, troubleshoot issues, and continuously improve data quality and reporting processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field
- 8–10 years of experience in data science, analytics, or a related field
- Strong experience in marketing analytics, particularly in digital or product-focused environments
- Proficiency in SQL and at least one scripting language (e.g., Python)
- Experience working with large-scale datasets and database technologies
- Solid understanding of ETL processes and data pipeline development
- Experience building and interpreting attribution models and marketing performance metrics
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present insights to non-technical stakeholders
- Proven ability to influence decision-making through data-driven insights
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in gaming, entertainment, or digital product ecosystems
- Familiarity with Databricks or similar cloud-based data platforms
- Experience partnering closely with marketing and finance teams on budget planning and ROI/ROAS optimization
- Knowledge of experimentation frameworks (A/B testing) and causal inference methods
- Experience building scalable reporting dashboards and automation solutions
- Demonstrated ability to lead stakeholder conversations and drive alignment across teams
Salary Range
At Blueprint, we strive to offer competitive pay that reflects the value of our team members. Compensation for this role is influenced by a variety of factors, including skills, education, responsibilities, experience, and geographic market. For candidates based in Washington State, the anticipated salary range is $140,000– $150,000 per annum. Please note that we typically do not hire new employees at the top of the posted range. Actual starting pay will be determined based on experience, skills, and internal equity. The final salary and job title may vary depending on the selected candidate’s qualifications and could fall outside the stated range.
