SUMMARY: The Marketing Specialist is high-energy, self starter who is responsible for developing creative marketing content, providing leadership in event preparation and management, and ensuring all printed and digital messaging is consistent with the companys promise and brand positioning.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Assist in the creation and implementation of events, public relations, and marketing campaigns to ensure high visibility and continued growth of our brands
  • Develops value-selling content for sales teams with the support from product experts.
  • Ability to create, produce, plan, organize, write, and implement impactful promotional marketing and branding campaigns
  • Design, order, and maintain promotional materials
  • Ability to create, plan, organize, staff, and execute promotional events and activities
  • Use both traditional and innovative approaches to public relations and special events
  • Support in-house sales team with creative ideas to enhance their presentations
  • Meet with internal team members/ work cross functionally as needed to help pitch, brainstorm, plan, and create events
  • Maintain an effective working relationship and open communication with cross-functional teams in order to build marketing initiatives and collaborate on projects
  • Constantly manage corporate social media efforts. Develop and execute social media program with minimal supervision. 
  • Creates content for company web site and social media channels to support the digital strategy.
  • Provides support for sales campaigns by creating content as assigned, generating target lists, and supporting lead tracking efforts. 
  • Maintains and updates Marketing Library including sales presentations, proposal templates, vendor marketing collateral, and other tools and reference materials for use by the sales team.
  • Creates videos in support of marketing and branding initiatives for internal communications. 
  • Manages trade show planning and logistics, event cost tracking and ROI, and lead capture processing. 
  • Ensures all published materials and digital content are produced in adherence with the companys brand standards and assists other associates in complying with these standards.
  • Manages promotional program which includes designing new promo to brand standard, ordering in proper quantities and at appropriate price points, and maintaining appropriate levels of promotional materials to support company efforts.
  • Completes miscellaneous marketing duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelors degree in Business, Communications, or Marketing or related discipline; minimum 2 years of experience in Marketing (internships included); graphic design a plus; writing and / or project samples are required for consideration.

COMPUTER SKILLS: Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher as well as Adobe Acrobat. Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator is a plus but not required. Experience in survey and email deployment tools. 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Valid Drivers License and reliable transportation. 

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups and associates.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
