This position is hybrid based out of our Waltham, MA office. We are unable to offer work sponsorship for this role.
The Senior Corporate Accountant directly supports the Director of Corporate Accounting in all aspects of the Finance/Accounting Department. Primary responsibilities include journal entries, general ledger, reconciliations, financial statements, fixed assets, A/P, A/R, audits, and month & year end close.
Your impact:
- Maintain A/R and A/P sub-ledgers including retrieval of source documents, validation and reconciliation against transactions posted in the accounting system
- Prepares and books journal entries including standard monthly accounting entries and statistical metrics
- Month End Closings
- Prepare draft financial statements. analyze financial statement balances, trial balances, subsidiary ledgers, and identify variances.
- Fixed Assets
- Prepare Balance Sheet Reconciliations
- Prepare for Audits (financial, bank and sales tax)
- Special Projects as needed
- Ad Hoc financial analysis and reporting using QuickBooks, NetSuite, Excel etc.
- Regular interaction with management, auditors, support staff and outside stakeholders
About you:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, MBA/CPA preferred
- Combination of Big 4 Public Accounting and Industry Experience
- 5+ years of progressive directly related accounting experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
- NetSuite or other ERP system experience a plus
- Basic accounting principles with demonstrated ability to manage journal entries and month end statements with required analysis and interpretation
- Solid knowledge of GAAP
