Director GTM, Europe
For more than 50 years, Cannondale has been a leading innovator in the cycling world. As more riders of all ages and abilities get on the roads, trails, and streets than ever before, we're here to do the best work of our lives to push the greatest human-powered machine into the future each and every day. We're committed to building a diverse and inclusive workforce where every teammate can succeed as we inspire riders everywhere. Fueled by a free-thinking, always-game, got-your-back mentality, we ditched the rulebook and set forward on a path to make iconic bikes that simply work better. We look forward to the ride with you.
About the Role:
At the heart of our mission to enable the future of cycling lies the ability to bring our products to life for riders across Europe. As the Director GTM (go-to-market), Europe, you play a pivotal role in ensuring that every product launch is not just an introduction, but an invitation to experience the innovation and passion behind our beloved brand.
You will craft and execute dynamic GTM strategies that bridge the gap between product design and the rider’s hands, collaborating with Product, Sales, and Marketing teams, as well as our North American counterparts, to make every launch a success. By using data-driven insights and real-time feedback, you’ll fine-tune our GTM processes to set new industry benchmarks and ensure that our products not only reach riders but also resonate with them.
How You'll Make an Impact:
- Lead the building and deployment of the European GTM strategy
- Inspire and develop a remote-working multi-national team of regional marketeers. Foster a strong culture of collaboration and communication and guide your team in prioritizing the most appropriate marketing mix and resources for their market
- Deliver the Cannondale brand and product story consistently across all channels in our key European markets: DTC, B2B, and via retail partners
- Align GTM efforts behind brand strategy and goals by working closely with marketing leaders (Brand, Creative, Digital, Sports Marketing etc)
- Ensure GTM strategy drives sales objectives. Be the bridge between marketing and sales in Europe and collaborate with S&OP leaders. Communicate effectively and consistently across the organization to ensure all stakeholders are kept informed
- Uphold our brand identity across markets by demonstrating an understanding and appreciation of Cannondale’s visual language and standards
- Establish, track, and report on KPIs per market, working with sales and marketing leaders to differentiate between activity and impact. Use data to inform future strategy
- Steer our retail brand experience through selective programming to ensure quality over quantity in terms of store merchandising and campaign activation
- Grow business with our best retailers by leading co-marketing projects with key accounts and building trusted relationships
- Partner with Sales Finance on budgeting, including headcount reconciliation and cost analysis
- Actively follow trends, both cycling & marketing trends alike, to bring authenticity and credibility to the role and steer team and organization forward
- Champion and encourage a positive working environment and effective teamwork in line with the Company’s values, behaviors and culture
- Be open to new ideas and encourage a culture of continuous process improvement beyond the immediate role. Contribute to success by taking the initiative, and leading or assisting projects that may be out of scope
What You Bring to the Table:
- 10+ years of progressive experience in brand, product, and/or retail marketing roles, with a focus on European and/or global markets.
- 6+ years in leadership roles, with a proven track record of inspiring, motivating, and developing diverse, multi-national teams.
- Strong analytical rigor, attention to detail, and exceptional executive presentation skills.
- Proven ability to craft and execute scalable strategies, align cross-functional teams, and drive results in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
- Deep understanding and appreciation of cycling and cyclists, with an active interest in the future of cycling products and their usage.
