- Build and develop partnerships with Carta’s business stakeholders, helping them to deliver on key initiatives and contribute to the overall success of Carta
- Working collaboratively with cross functional partners to facilitate procurement activities to ensure Carta gets favorable business and commercial terms
- Analyzing Carta’s current spend and supplier base and ensure our vendors are delivering value out of our current investments
- Review Carta’s current procurement processes and provide recommendations for process improvement. Drive change management initiatives to improve processes.
- Design, track, generate & update reports, dashboards, and contract renewal calendars
- Proactively manage upcoming procurement actions such as project timelines, contract renewals, notices, and negotiations
- Working collaboratively with cross functional partners to support & optimize key processes that impact employee and vendor experiences
- Assist in training employees on procurement systems and processes
The Team You'll Work With
Carta’s dynamic Procurement Team is looking for an experienced Procurement professional to support various strategic sourcing & procurement related activities. The Procurement Specialist will serve as an essential contributor to enhancing and scaling Carta’s source to pay processes. This team member will report to the Procurement Team’s Senior Manager. The successful candidate for this position will be highly motivated, prepared to adapt to a fast paced environment, has excellent organization & communication skills and has an understanding of sourcing and procurement concepts.
About You
We're looking for someone who is eager to grow their career in procurement and sourcing. If you're detail-oriented, enjoy working with data, and like collaborating with different teams, this role could be a great fit for you.
What You’ll Need:
- At least 1 year of experience in procurement, sourcing, or vendor management (experience in technology/software or marketing sourcing is a plus!).
- Strong analytical and reporting skills—you should be comfortable working with data and using insights to make recommendations
- A customer service mindset - The ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and stakeholders.
- A basic understanding of the procure-to-pay process
- Some knowledge of contract negotiation and sourcing best practices
- A strategic mindset—you like improving processes, finding efficiencies, and minimizing risks
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively share ideas and collaborate
- A proactive and adaptable approach to working in a fast-paced environment
Preferred (but Not Required):
- A bachelor’s degree in Operations, Supply Chain Management, Information Systems, or Industrial Engineering
- Experience working in the technology or software industry
- Experience supporting marketing or event teams
- Experience in financial services (fintech, banking, broker-dealer, etc.).
- Familiarity with procurement tools like Zip
- Experience helping teams understand procurement systems and processes.
- Exposure to M&A (Mergers & Acquisitions) activities
