Role Overview
The Sales Trainer position at Champions Group is an individual contributor role focused on teaching, guiding, and inspiring our sales professionals. As the Sales Trainer, your responsibilities will include:
- Classroom Training: Conducting sales process training in a classroom setting at various field locations, working with groups of 1-10 individuals.
- On-Site Coaching: Riding with sales team members during customer visits, demonstrating techniques, and assisting in managing complex customer interactions.
- Curriculum Development: Designing and building class materials and curriculum to ensure sales team members are well-prepared to succeed.
- Systematic Teaching: Equipping sales professionals with the skills to navigate a systematic sales process, providing hands-on coaching to drive success.
Key Projects
In your first year as a Sales Trainer, you'll focus on:
- Initial Training: Shadowing a Trainer as they conduct sales training at various locations. Afterward, you'll lead training sessions independently.
- Curriculum Enhancement: Continually improving the training curriculum, incorporating role-playing exercises, capability assessments, and field observations.
- Change Management: Leading change initiatives, promoting standardization, and subtly influencing compliance to achieve buy-in.
- Team Alignment: Collaborating effectively with other teams, fostering teamwork, and ensuring alignment between sales and business development.
Qualifications and Skills
We're seeking a Sales Trainer who possesses the following qualifications and skills:
- Technology: Proficiency in technology, including Microsoft Suite and various development tools, to enhance training effectiveness and engagement.
- Teaching Experience: Proven experience teaching and instructing groups, as well as one-on-one interactions.
- Sales Process Training: Demonstrated experience providing sales process training, ideally in a corporate or national setting.
- Business Development: Understanding business development, particularly in generating qualified leads.
- Travel Willingness: Willingness to travel extensively, approximately 60% of your time, often staying overnight for work.
- Public Speaking: A confident and engaging public speaker who can lead and inspire others in a classroom setting.

$140,000 - $170,000 USD
