Position Overview
The Human Capital team comprises about 25 professionals committed to attracting, developing, and retaining excellent colleagues across the firm. We seek a highly organized and experienced Immigration & Global Mobility Specialist to provide temporary coverage during a MLOA (July 2025 - April 2026). In this role, you will lead end-to-end immigration case management for our U.S. and global employees, ensuring smooth and compliant processes across all stages of immigration and international mobility. This position can be located in Boston, Chicago, or New York, and reports to the Senior Manager, Global Immigration Counsel. Typical responsibilities include:
- Execute end-to-end case management for U.S. immigration processes including F-1 work authorization (OPT/STEM OPT), H-1B lottery, TN, O-1, L-1, PERM, and green cards.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employees, managers, and external immigration counsel regarding visa status, timelines, and documentation requirements.
- Maintain and update immigration records, track visa expirations, and ensure timely renewals.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition team to support foreign national candidates through the hiring process.
- Prepare and review support letters and travel-related documentation as needed.
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes with respect to immigration documentation and compliance.
- Oversee global mobility processes and support, including short-term assignments, long-term transfers, and permanent international relocations.
- Support global immigration needs across international offices, coordinating with regional counsel and HR partners.
- Manage data reporting and audits related to immigration and work authorization compliance (e.g., I-9).
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Legal Studies, International Relations, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant full-time work experience;
- 3-5+ years related work experience with corporate immigration, preferably in a multinational company or law firm);
- Strong understanding of US immigration processes, terminology, and regulatory requirements;
- Experience managing employment-based visa cases (OPT/STEM OPT, H-1B, PERM, green card, etc.);
- Familiarity with Canada and UK immigration systems;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Work, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook);
- Strong systems knowledge including HRIS, case management systems, and/or immigration case tracking tools;
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, meeting deadlines, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to design effective communications that engage a diverse audience;
- Demonstrated ability to be proactive, creative, flexible, innovative and an entrepreneurial thinker;
- Good judgment and ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

Work Location Flexibility
CRA creates a work environment that enables our colleagues to benefit from being together in the office to best deliver on our promise of career growth, mentorship and inclusivity. At the same time, we recognize that individuals realize a range of benefits when working from home periodically. We currently ask that individuals spend 3 days a week working in the office (which may include traveling to another CRA office), with specific days determined in coordination with your practice or team. At certain times of the year (e.g. holiday periods), additional remote work options are offered to those whose work commitments permit it, although our offices remain open for those who choose or need to be there.
