What you'll do

We're looking for an Account Executive. At Clara, our mission is to empower organizations to operate with agility and transparency. As a key driver of our growth in Brazil, you will lead our expansion into traditional sectors—such as Construction, Retail, Agro, and Logistics—modernizing how these essential industries manage their corporate spend.

In this role, you will act as a strategic consultant for companies that often rely on legacy banking or fragmented manual processes. This is a high-impact hunter position: you will own the full sales cycle, from initial prospecting to contract signing. You will leverage your deep understanding of traditional market dynamics to deliver Clara’s integrated solution to businesses ready for digital transformation.

You will:

  • Drive the outbound sales motion specifically targeting mid-market and enterprise companies in traditional sectors.
  • Lead the go-to-market strategy to displace legacy financial processes, positioning Clara as the modern alternative to traditional banks.
  • Generate a high volume of qualified leads through proactive, tailored outreach via Amplemarket.
  • Influence Finance Directors, CFOs, and Controllers by demonstrating how Clara solves industry-specific pain points like complex reconciliation and field-team expense tracking.
  • Manage a robust pipeline and consistently exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
  • Maintain meticulous records of all sales activity and client interactions using Hubspot.
  • Collaborate with internal teams via Slack and Google Drive to ensure product-market fit for traditional industry workflows.

Who you are

“We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.”

Must haves:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in outbound sales, with a proven track record working within or selling to the Construction, Retail, Agro, or Logistics industries.
  • Deep practical knowledge of the Brazilian financial market, including corporate credit and payment processing.
  • Strong "hunter" profile with the ability to navigate long sales cycles and complex negotiations.
  • Experience engaging with financial personas (CFOs, Treasurers) and a clear understanding of their operational challenges in traditional sectors.
  • Working proficiency in English and Portuguese.
  • Experience or interest in AI tools to automate workflows and increase outreach efficiency.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Adaptability to fast-changing environments.

Nice to haves:

  • Experience with ERP integrations common in traditional sectors (e.g., Totvs, SAP).
  • Established network of finance leaders within the Brazilian industrial or agro landscape.
  • Independent analytical skills using spreadsheets, Metabase, or SQL.
  • Basic proficiency in Spanish or a desire to learn it.
  • A good sense of humor.

Clara’s Hybrid Policy

Claridians in a hybrid mode split their time between working from the office, talking to or visiting customers, or working from home. This hits a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility about how to do this in a way that makes sense for each individual and team.

We don't enforce a minimum number of days for most roles, but you're expected to spend time at the office organically, and be at the office most days during your ramp-up or when required by your leader.
