Who We're Looking For - Director of Program Management, Internet Brands

As the Director of Program Management, you will drive transformation that is in alignment with the Internet Brands Department strategy and goals. Your leadership will foster a culture of excellence while overseeing multiple program, project, software (SDLC), and product life cycles. You will collaborate with team members and stakeholders by fostering relationships across the organization to bring about greater camaraderie that leads to getting more done in better ways. Additionally, you are involved in close partnership with tech, web development, and digital architecture teams to drive innovation and ensure technical excellence.

The Impact You Will Make:
Program Management (40%)

At the heart of your role lies strategic leadership, guiding our teams towards the achievement of overarching strategies, goals and objectives. Here's how you'll do it:

  • Actualizing comprehensive programs, (collections of related and/or interrelated projects), to drive towards maximized value and ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Collaborating with product managers/owners, subject matter experts (SMEs), and other key stakeholders to execute product roadmaps, delivering on the evolution of our offerings.
  • Fostering Program and Project expertise across the organization to optimize efficiency and effectiveness, particularly in regards to:
    • Stakeholder Management
    • Communication Management
    • Change Management
    • Schedule Management
    • Risk Management
    • Resource Management
  • Refining strategic plans with a user-centered approach to ensure alignment with our company's vision and objectives that resonate with all.
  • Orchestrating large-scale, cross-departmental projects, coordinating seamlessly between diverse teams to ensure successful execution and delivery time.
  • Prepare and present high-level reports on overall program progress, production gaps, and key highlights to executive leadership; including quarterly performance reports.


Team Empowerment and Collaboration (30%)

Your role extends beyond leadership; it's about empowering, guiding, and collaborating with our talented teams to achieve greatness. Here's how you'll make it happen:

  • Mentoring program/project managers/coordinators and functional teams, nurturing their skills and processes to drive professional growth and excellence.
  • Drive the team's vision, goals, and areas of focus to ensure unity of purpose and clarity of direction among all members.
  • Encouraging a proactive problem-solving mindset within teams, empowering them to tackle challenges creatively and collaboratively.
  • Creating collaboration and synergy between web development teams, product teams, project managers, and marketing teams, breaking down silos and promoting a unified approach leading to faster innovation cycles and better product offerings..
  • Advocating for the program management team and promoting its value proposition to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Celebrating achievements and milestones, fostering a positive and motivating work environment that fuels team morale and productivity.
  • May oversee a team of program managers, project managers, and/or project coordinators.


Technical Excellence and Innovation (30%)

In the fast-paced world of digital marketing, you'll champion technical excellence and innovation, driving our company to new heights of success. Here's how you'll lead the charge:

  • Guiding senior leadership in developing a technology roadmap that aligns with our business objectives, leveraging cutting-edge tools and methodologies to drive innovation and efficiency.
  • Fostering a culture of continuous learning and skills development within teams, staying abreast of emerging technologies and innovative solutions within the industry
  • Ensuring the highest standards of quality and technical excellence in all deliverables, conducting regular reviews and audits to maintain excellence and exceed stakeholder expectations.
  • Overseeing the optimization and administration of project management information systems (PMIS) and tools, ensuring they support our teams' needs and enhance productivity (Jira, Confluence, Airtable, Jellyfish, etc.).
  • Facilitating cross-functional collaboration between technical and non-technical teams to achieve project objectives.

What You Bring:

  • Demonstrated program/project management mastery (job experience, project portfolio, and able to perform well on practical exercises)
  • 2+ years of program management experience and/or 3-6+ years of technical/senior project management experience
  • Technical leadership experience (functional supervisor/manager of a development team, degree in IT/CS, technical certifications, etc.)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Admin / Power User experience with one or more of the following productivity tools: Jira, Confluence, Airtable, and/or Jellyfish
  • Any web development/administration experience
