Senior NetSuite Developer

United States

About Us:
Comfrt is one of the fastest-growing direct-to-consumer brands, dedicated to blending mental wellness, inclusivity, and elevated comfort into every piece we create. Our mission goes beyond clothing — we strive to build a community where everyone feels supported and seen.

About the Job:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sr. NetSuite Developer to join our growing technology team. This role is central to building and scaling our enterprise systems as we expand from direct-to-consumer into wholesale and retail channels. You will design, develop, and maintain NetSuite customizations and the integrations that connect NetSuite to our Shopify front end, our Boomi integration platform, and our third-party logistics (3PL) provider. The ideal candidate combines deep SuiteScript development expertise with hands-on Boomi ETL development and a strong understanding of multi-channel commerce operations, and can translate business requirements from our BSA and stakeholders into reliable, well-tested technical solutions.

Responsibilities:

NetSuite Development & Customization

  • Design, develop, and maintain NetSuite customizations using SuiteScript 2.x (Suitelets, User Event, Scheduled, Map/Reduce, RESTlets), SuiteFlow workflows, and custom records, fields, and forms.
  • Build and optimize saved searches, SuiteAnalytics datasets, and reporting to support Finance, Operations, and Logistics teams.
  • Develop solutions supporting core order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, inventory, and financial processes (GL posting, AR/AP, revenue recognition, COGS, landed cost) across multiple entities and currencies.
  • Follow SDLC best practices for NetSuite development, including sandbox-to-production deployment, SuiteCloud Development Framework (SDF), version control, and code review.

Integration Development: Shopify, Boomi & 3PL

  • Design and build integrations between Shopify (our eCommerce front end) and NetSuite, ensuring accurate order capture, inventory sync, fulfillment status, refunds/exchanges, and financial postings.
  • Develop, deploy, and maintain Boomi ETL/iPaaS processes: integration workflows, data mappings, transformations, error handling, retry logic, and monitoring across the enterprise systems landscape.
  • Build and support integrations with our 3PL provider for outbound fulfillment, inbound receipts, inventory reconciliation, and returns, including API- and EDI-based data flows.
  • Monitor integration health, troubleshoot failures end to end (Shopify, Boomi, NetSuite, 3PL), perform root cause analysis, and implement permanent fixes and preventive monitoring.

Multi-Channel Expansion

  • Develop the NetSuite and integration capabilities needed to launch and scale new sales channels across wholesale, retail, and online, including channel-specific pricing, order routing, fulfillment, and financial posting rules.
  • Support EDI and B2B requirements for wholesale partners and retail, including order, shipment, and invoice document flows.
  • Partner with the Business Systems Analyst, Finance, and Operations teams to turn channel requirements into scalable technical designs rather than one-off fixes.

Testing, Deployment & Support

  • Develop unit and integration test plans for customizations and integrations; support UAT cycles with business stakeholders, including Finance validation of transaction accuracy.
  • Document technical designs, integration data flows, field mappings, and runbooks so solutions are supportable and auditable.
  • Provide production support for NetSuite and integration issues, triaging defects and managing fixes through to resolution.
  • Support data migration efforts, including source-to-target mappings, data loads, and reconciliation during system implementations and channel launches.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7+ years of software development experience, including 4+ years of hands-on NetSuite development (SuiteScript 2.x, SuiteFlow, SuiteTalk/REST, SDF).
  • 2+ years of development experience with Boomi (processes, mappings, connectors, APIs, error handling) or an equivalent iPaaS/ETL platform with willingness to work in Boomi.
  • Direct experience integrating Shopify (or a comparable eCommerce platform) with NetSuite as the ERP system of record.
  • Experience building and supporting 3PL/WMS integrations, including inventory sync, fulfillment, and returns flows (API and/or EDI).
  • Strong understanding of multi-channel commerce processes (DTC, wholesale, retail) and how channel differences affect order management, inventory, and financial posting in NetSuite.
  • Proficiency with JavaScript, REST/SOAP APIs, JSON/XML, and SQL for data analysis and troubleshooting.
  • Strong understanding of the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of explaining technical designs and trade-offs to non-technical audiences.

Nice to Have:

  • NetSuite certifications (e.g., SuiteCloud Developer II, SuiteFoundation, NetSuite Administrator) or Boomi certifications (e.g., Boomi Professional Developer).
  • Experience with a NetSuite ERP implementation or migration, including go-live cutover and stabilization.
  • Experience with Shopify Plus, Shopify APIs (Admin, webhooks), and metafield-driven order routing logic.
  • Familiarity with order management systems (e.g., Fulfil.io) and fulfillment/logistics providers (e.g., Flexport).
  • Experience with EDI standards (e.g., 850/855/856/810) for wholesale and retail partners.
  • Experience with multi-subsidiary, multi-currency NetSuite environments and international expansion.
  • Experience with monitoring and observability for integrations (alerting, dashboards, reconciliation reports).
