Reports to: Senior Director, Cloud Operations

A quick snapshot…

As the Director of Technical Cloud Operations, you’ll be responsible for managing the health and reliability of Conga’s cloud infrastructure and production systems while managing a team of reliability engineers. You’ll help design, build, operate, and own overall technical relationships between multiple organizational stakeholders. You’ll provide insight and support into the operations and implementation of new initiatives to continue to drive efficiency.

Are you the person we are looking for?

Related Experience. You have 12 or more years of experience as an architect or lead engineer, with at least 5 years focused on cloud architecture and/or managing an operations team. You have deep expertise and a track record of managing cloud infrastructure solutions on the Azure, AWS, or IBM platforms and a deep understating of cloud computing (network infrastructure, IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS cloud delivery models). You know how to design and implement strategic roadmaps for cloud solutions, migrations, greenfield applications, and cloud-native deployments for medium and large enterprises. You collect requirements, design plans, and build solutions to constantly improve availability, performance, scalability, uptime, and response times. You define technical milestones and develop CAPEX/OPEX cost models with an emphasis on cloud maturity modeling. You’ve also gained knowledge across other disciplines, including web applications, networks, databases, and security.

Resourceful & Collaborative. You emphasize collaboration. You know how to ensure clear lines of communication with engineering teams, business partners, technical and operational teams, and peer architects in other departments. You’ve built processes to guarantee everyone is on the same page and has unified architectural and capability assumptions. You’ve built strong partnerships with information security teams to ensure best-in-class security solutions.

Leadership. You enjoy being a mentor to your colleagues. You’re a champion for best practices and infrastructure as code adoption. You're a subject matter expert on CloudOps and DevOps best practices with Cloud Development Groups, Configuration Management, etc.

Analytical thinker and creative problem solver.You're able to see issues holistically and follow the flow of the stack to get to the root of the matter -- a key skill in this role. But where you really shine is with your ability to identify creative solutions to unique customer requirements. This is critical for ensuring our customer issues are resolved in a manner that meets or exceeds their expectations without increasing their costs.

Education. Successful completion of a Bachelor of Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field is highly preferred.
