General Summary:
The Senior Front-End Engineer II is responsible for developing, enhancing, and maintaining high quality, innovative, and fully performing front-end code for web applications. This role works in partnership with various Engineering teams to ensure alignment of web design and user experience while prioritizing web optimization and coding
standards.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Frontend Development & Architecture
- Build and maintain scalable UI applications using React + JavaScript / TypeScript
- Implement reusable patterns for:
- Component structure
- State management (Redux Toolkit, Zustand, React Query)
- API integration (REST / GraphQL)
- Component Library & Design System
- Develop and maintain shared UI components
- Ensure:
- Consistency with design guidelines
- Accessibility
- Responsiveness
- Work with design teams using tools like Figma, Storybook
- Code Quality & Best Practices
- Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code
- Follow and enforce:
- Coding standards
- Linting, formatting rules
- Component reusability
- Participate in code reviews and feedback cycles
- Performance Optimization
- Optimize:
- Page load times
- Rendering performance
- Bundle size (lazy loading, code splitting)
- Monitor and fix performance bottlenecks
- Developer Experience (DX)
- Contribute to improvements in:
- Build tools and configs
- Local development setup
- Help maintain CI/CD workflows for frontend
- Testing & Reliability
- Write and maintain:
- Unit tests (Jest, Vitest)
- Integration/E2E tests (Playwright, Cypress)
- Ensure UI reliability and reduce regression issues
- Collaboration & Execution
- Work closely with:
- Product managers
- UX designers
- Backend engineers
- Break down features and deliver independently with minimal supervision
- Learning & Growth
- Stay updated with evolving frontend ecosystem:
- React updates
- Modern CSS strategies
- Gradually take ownership of modules or feature areas
Required Qualifications
- 4–6 years of experience in frontend/full-stack development
- Strong expertise in:
- React + TypeScript / JavaScript
- Modern JavaScript (ES6+)
- Experience with:
- API integration (REST or GraphQL)
- State management libraries
- Solid understanding of:
- HTML, CSS, responsive design
Browser rendering and performance basics
Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities Required:
- Experience with:
- React.js or similar frameworks
- Component libraries / design systems
- Monorepos or shared UI platforms
- Familiarity with:
- Micro-frontend basics
- Exposure to cloud environments and CI/CD pipelines
