Senior Manager, Product Engineering

To support our rapid growth, we’re seeking a dynamic Senior Manager of Product Engineering.

The Senior Manager of Product Engineering plays a key leadership role in driving the development, execution, and optimization of product engineering solutions. Reporting to the CTO, this individual will lead a team of software engineers to design, build, and deliver high-quality products that align with business objectives, technical vision, and market needs.

This role requires a blend of technical leadership, strategic planning, and hands-on execution oversight to ensure that software engineering efforts drive measurable business value. The Senior Manager will collaborate closely with product management, DevOps, data, and design teams, ensuring alignment between technical execution and product vision.

Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy

  • Define and execute technical and product roadmaps in collaboration with the CTO and product leadership.
  • Oversee engineering priorities, resource allocation, and work distribution to meet organizational needs.
  • Stay informed on emerging technologies and trends to drive innovation in product development.
  • Partner with key business stakeholders, including marketing, sales, and operations, to align product strategy with business objectives.

Product Development & Execution

  • Lead a team of engineers in delivering scalable, high-performance solutions.
  • Translate business and product requirements into technical specifications.
  • Work closely with DevOps and data teams to optimize product performance and reliability.
  • Ensure user-centric design principles are incorporated into development efforts.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, quality, and engineering best practices.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Act as a key liaison between engineering, product management, and agile product delivery teams to drive alignment across product development lifecycles.
  • Establish strong vendor relationships to ensure strategic alignment with long-term business objectives.
  • Drive the implementation of best-in-class software engineering methodologies.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, mentor, and develop engineering talent.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and career development plans for team members.
  • Oversee day-to-day engineering operations, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables.

Qualifications

Technical & Leadership Competencies:

  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide engineering teams.
  • Proven ability to translate business goals into scalable technology solutions.
  • Deep understanding of agile methodologies and software development best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a focus on engineering pragmatism and ROI-driven decision-making.
  • Ability to drive cross-functional collaboration and influence stakeholders at all levels.

Required Experience:

  • 7+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3+ years in a leadership role.
  • Experience in leading teams to develop front-end and back-end solutions in cloud environments.
  • Hands-on experience with modern development frameworks, cloud infrastructure, and DevOps practices.
  • Strong background in enterprise SaaS, APIs, and microservices architectures.
  • Experience in driving security, compliance, and performance optimization in cloud environments.

  • Cloud Platforms: Azure, AWS
  • Databases: MySQL, Snowflake
  • Languages & Frameworks: PHP, Python, TypeScript, React, Node.js
  • Architectural Principles: SOA, OOP, Microservices
