Production Lead (Split Shift)

Position Summary

Crescent Production Lead are responsible to lead a high performing reliable production floor committed to meeting all our customer’s needs, our company’s needs and our people’s needs. The business will operate as outlined in the Crescent Way- 3 P’s:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Safety

  • Read and understand the Crescent Safety Playbook – Doing it Safe
  • Ensure a Work Environment which is safe and maintained where our people can safely grow and develop
  • Engage everyone on the production floor to participate in Safety Observations to continually seek out and remove all forms of risk

People

  • Encourage the best people to become part of Crescent
  • Train to ensure each person is competent 
  • Contribute to ensure the fair and accurate evaluation of each person’s performance and potential 
  • Recognize to ensure each person feels appreciated for the value they provide 
  • Encourage everyone to participate in Focus Group or Voice of Our People sessions to voice their concerns and ideas for improvement

Productivity

  • Maximize shift production capacity and output capability by leading the execution of production runs and allocated resources 

Quality

  • Adherence to all quality standards 
  • Ensure that our customer’s need for quality is understood and built into each process
  • Assist in the investigation to identify the root cause for all escapes is identified and corrected 
  • Monitor Line Lead processes are being followed to ensure inventory accuracy 
  • Data Integrity - Ensure the complete integrity and timeliness of all data in our operating systems when sending reports as needed. (Pack Manager / Kronos / Quick Base).

Customer Value

  • Understand the importance of high quality and accurate inventory to our customers 
  • Understand the required standards for each customer job/project.

Financial

  • Align and optimize the allocation of People to meet established production targets 
  • Ensure the correct use of all materials and supplies

Work Environment / Physical Demands

Fast paced environment, requiring Production Leads to adapt to continuous changes in schedules, volumes, staffing and shift requirements.

  • Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arm’s length, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3-5 Years of practical production experience, leading teams to safety deliver customer services in an efficient and effective manner and meeting every quality standard for each unique customer
  • Strong communication skills
  • Consistently demonstrate leadership qualities
  • Ability to understand, record and communicate material and product information
  • Experience utilizing Lean Manufacturing, 5S and/or Six Sigma Principles in a production environment
  • Capable of championing the Crescent Culture of Doing it Right, Doing it Safe and Doing it Well, and abiding by all written and understood procedures and policies 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience leading hourly production associates strongly desired
  • Regulatory cGMP experience
  • Lean manufacturing and continual process improvement experience
  • Experience driving quality results in a dynamic, fast-paced production environment

We will absolutely know the Production Lead is successful if they can:

  • Proactively train / mentor all Line Leaders and Line Workers to hit / maintain their targeted production, quality and safety standards and to reach their maximum potential 
  • Lead production activities in a manner consistent with The Crescent Way to ensure our people and equipment operate safely and that our customer product is handled within current processes 
  • Deliver a quality finished product to our customer within specifications 
  • Aide Supervisor in developing a self-sufficient team

Pay Range

$23.50 - $23.50 USD
