Business Manager
Position Summary
As a key member of the Sales team, the Canada Business Manager drives and facilitates the end-to-end project execution management of the merchandising display supply chain. The Canada Business Manager coordinates all contract deliverables by fully integrating in the customer’s processes and engaging customer cross functional teams. The Canada Business Manager strategically focuses on growing customer trust through seeking to understand the customer’s need to strengthen their competitive advantage in the marketplace.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Sales Team Member
- Manage the communication process as the face to the customer across the project design development spectrum.
- Maintain a strong working understanding of the customer’s category vision and provide demonstrated expertise and recommendations in retailer strategies.
- Collaborate with the Market and Retailer Insights Manager (MRIM), understand and leverage brand and consumer behavior to convert revenue opportunities.
- Collaborate and determine opportunities for brand evolution and expansion.
Safety
- Promote and drive the relevance of the Crescent Safety culture with the Customer.
- Scrutinize the alignment of new programs and opportunities with being able to Do it Safe.
- Evaluate Crescent’s contractual obligations against potential risk.
Quality
- Build trust with the customer, establishing strong and open relationships, where our customer is a stakeholder in our long-term success.
- Generate, maintain, and distribute accurate, timely, customer and supplier partner reports including a Project Tracker. Participate in defining and establishing customer reporting needs.
- Receive and analyze customer project requests, ensuring all specifications including costing are captured and tracked accurately, and ensure assembly/fulfillment requirements are attainable.
- Proactively resolve customer challenges as the resident technical resource to resolve any design, quality or other print related matters, building strong trusting relationships.
- Ensure the total integrity and timeliness of all data and inputs required for Customer, Crescent and Crescent partners’ operating and planning systems.
Productivity
- Lead all project status meetings for cross functional areas and provide detailed reporting and updates by maintaining a master project tracker.
- Validate merchandising structures for promotional concepts in order to determine cost analysis for moving forward.
- Provide competitive market insights into what other CPG companies are doing in-store.
- Drive the Pricing, Pricing Approval and Customer purchase orders process.
- Potential for intermittent travel to Key Partners, customers, and internally at Crescent in the US.
People
- Be versed on Crescent’s People strategy and how it positively impacts our customer and supplier partner.
- Build and maintain strategic alignment between the customer, supplier partner, corporate support teams and plant/operating teams.
Customer Value
- Lead the customer creative review process including feedback, providing the customer with advice on innovation, feasibility and production efficiencies.
- Attend customer briefings and meetings for all new projects, and work directly with any customer vendors and their Agencies to capture relevant changes/updates to specifications and timelines.
- Drive effective communications and updates between our customer and their vendors, our supplier partner and our site management and support teams, ensuring open and transparent lines of communication
- Liaise with Crescent site and Crescent supplier partners’ sites to manage production scheduling and prioritizing to ensure customer timelines are met
Financial
- Coordinate and provide inputs to the turnkey estimating process.
- Evaluate the financial performance of the Customer and propose actions for improvement.
- Provide insight on how we can strategically grow with the Customer.
- Participate in the annual budget planning process.
All other duties as assigned, including but not limited to the identification and training of an individual capable of successfully completing all stated Key Responsibilities as appropriate to maintain integrity of position for progression planning and coverage during times of absence.

Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Extensive experience managing Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) companies’ promotional design and project management
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Operational experience and/or Associate’s Degree may be substituted for Bachelor’s Degree
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experienced leader of teams and projects strongly desired
