Job Overview
- Job Title: Pre-Litigation Legal Assistant
- Location: New Orleans, LA (Mid-City area near Carrollton Ave)
- Setting: 100% On-site (Must be reliable and physically present daily)
- Compensation: $50,000 – $55,000 annual plus performance/KPI bonuses.
- Schedule: Mon–Thu: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM | Fri: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM | Rotating Sat (1 per ~6 weeks): 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM (Paid extra)
- Start Date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities
- Intake & Claim Setup: Opening claims with insurance companies and ensuring all initial client documents are gathered and labeled.
- The Medical Engine: Proactively requesting, gathering, and tracking medical records and billing from providers.
- Demand Preparation: Compiling medical chronologies and bills into comprehensive "Demand Packages" for insurance adjusters.
- Client Concierge: Acting as a primary point of contact for clients, providing status updates, and ensuring they feel supported during their medical treatment.
- Administrative Support: Filing, scanning, data entry, and handling multi-line phones to keep the office running smoothly.
Requirements
- Experience Level: Less experience is okay!. The firm is willing to train someone with the right attitude and foundational administrative skills.
- Education: High School Diploma mandatory; Associate’s or Bachelor’s in a related field (Criminal Justice, Legal Studies) is a plus.
- Skills: Exceptional organizational ability, strong phone etiquette, and proficiency in MS Office/Google Workspace.
- Attitude: Must be a self-starter who doesn't need constant micro-management.
