Senior Copy Editor
We’re looking for a creative, self-starting Senior Copy Editor who thrives in a fast-paced environment, adapts quickly, and can work independently with minimal supervision. This role requires a mix of organizational skills, attention to detail, copywriting and editing experience, and the ability to collaborate with a wide range of teams. You’ll edit and optimize email and push notification copy, manage deadlines, foresee potential roadblocks, and make sound decisions while juggling multiple campaigns.
As a Senior Copy Editor on the Governance team, you’re the quality control and creative support teams need to send emails to hosts and guests. You’ll keep projects moving smoothly, ensuring deadlines are met and brand standards are exceeded, while working with a team of writers, designers, editors, creative producers, and creative directors to produce deliverables across several channels.
You Will:
- Edit, proofread, and at times rewrite promotional and transactional emails from wide range of teams.
- Perform QA checks prior to launch.
- Support initiatives to optimize the Governance site, tools, templates, and reporting.
- Collaborate with copywriters, editors, designers, and marketing teams to execute projects.
- Manage the workflow of copy and assets, ensuring they meet client standards.
- Partner with creative leadership to maintain processes and deadlines.
- Participate in strategic analysis and apply findings to improve future projects.
- Define best practices for content handoffs in collaboration with other teams.
You Have:
- 5-7 years of experience in a copy editing and/or copy writing capacity.
- A copy editor’s eye for detail and a managing editor’s ability to juggle multiple campaigns at once.
- A passion for editing and delivering well-crafted messaging, including the ability to optimize text through global/structural changes, line editing, and alignment with brand best practices.
- Deep knowledge of the creative development process and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Exceptional attention to detail, multitasking abilities, and the flexibility to handle changing schedules.
- Strategic thinking and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A positive, solution-oriented attitude and eagerness to learn from others.
- A strong understanding of digital production tools and the ability to learn new ones quickly.
Salary Range
$120,000 - $135,000 USD
