
Staff Accountant

Continual growth at Crossroads Health has opened an opportunity for a sharp, detail oriented and personable individual to fill the position of Staff Accountant. This visible and centralized position is responsible for supporting the Controller in all acquisition, divestiture, and integration related activities; as well as gathering various financial and operational data; assisting with compliance efforts; performing analysis and reporting the results. The role will leverage corporate financial policies, procedures, and modeling tools to reconcile, balance and report on various financial positions. The Staff Accountant will assist general accounting, federal grant accounting, and intercompany accounting to ensure activity is analyzed and recorded accordingly both completely and accurately.
More specifically this role will be responsible for:
- Overseeing grant accounting and reporting processes.
- Assisting in the month, quarter, and year-end financial closes, internal and external reporting processes by creating journal entries and developing reporting templates.
- Develop financial templates, models and analysis tools in Excel or Power BI using and developing a data lake model from other systems.
- Providing information to all levels of management by assembling and summarizing data; preparing reports; making presentations of findings, analyses, and recommendations.
- Monitoring internal control policies, procedures and practices to assure compliance with internal and external policies.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related area required.
- Five (5) years of finance/accounting, analysis and reporting experience.
- Experience in the healthcare, nonprofit sector (preferred).
- Experience with governmental or grant based accounting (preferred).
- Three (3) years demonstrated proficiency in Excel (macros, pivot tables).
- Three (3) to Five (5) years of proficiency in Blackbaud, Oracle, NetSuite, and Power BI.
- Knowledge of accounting theory and application of financial accounting principles and the ability to effectively analyze accounting information and financial results for accuracy and completeness.
