Director / VP Talent Acquisition
Dandelion Energy is seeking a Director Talent Acquisition to lead and scale our recruiting efforts, with a focus on hiring top-tier sales and technical talent. As a key partner to leadership, you will help shape the company’s hiring strategy, build strong talent pipelines, and drive an outstanding candidate experience.
In this role, you will manage the recruitment team and work closely with hiring managers to ensure we attract, assess, and hire the best talent to drive Dandelion’s growth. You will also play a pivotal role in enhancing our employer brand, streamlining recruiting processes, and optimizing our recruiting tech stack.
This is an in-person position based at our Arlington, VA headquarters—one block from the Courthouse metro station (Orange and Silver lines), with easy access from DC, Northern VA, and Bethesda.

Build and scale a best-in-class recruiting function
- Manage and develop the recruiting function, ensuring a high-impact, culturally responsive, and results-driven hiring process.
- Establish recruiting best practices, ensuring alignment across hiring managers and leadership.
- Leverage data and analytics to track key recruiting metrics, optimize processes, and drive hiring efficiency.
Drive strategic hiring for sales and technical roles
- Partner closely with sales and engineering leadership to understand business needs and proactively build talent pipelines.
- Proactively build and maintain a talent pipeline for key roles, with a focus on enterprise sales, business development, and engineering talent.
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies to attract passive candidates in highly competitive markets.
Candidate Experience & Hiring Excellence
- Lead structured interview training for hiring teams, ensuring a data-driven and rigorous selection process.
- Provide a world-class candidate experience, effectively selling the Dandelion mission, culture, and career opportunities.
- Manage offer negotiations, closing candidates with a compelling pitch on total rewards, equity, and career growth.
Optimize recruitment processes and candidate experience
- Ensure a seamless candidate experience, from application through offer, to drive engagement and increase offer acceptance rates.
- Develop structured scorecards, job descriptions, interview panels, and seamless offer and close process that aligns with Dandelion’s recruiting SOP.
Standardize offer negotiation and closing processes, ensuring competitive and compelling offers to top candidates.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of in-house recruiting experience, with at least 2 years managing recruiters, experience w/ agency recruitment is a PLUS.
- Proven experience hiring for both sales and technical roles in a startup or fast-growing environment.
- Strong track record of meeting and exceeding hiring goals.
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year university (honors always recognized!).
- Experience with applicant tracking systems and recruitment analytics tools.
- Understanding of compensation, general HR policies, and work visa processes.
