About the role:

At Dashlane we see data as a true and reliable asset: data drives decisions based on timely & meaningful  insights thereby empowering our business functions to use data in their daily work. We are hiring a Lead Analytics Engineer to join our Data & Analytics team. This role will be responsible for delivering data driven insights and analyses that support strategic decision-making within the Go-To-Market functions i.e. Sales pipeline, Marketing funnel and  product pricing & positioning . They will serve as a critical analytical resource for leaders across our business by diving into data to produce actionable insights and provide strategic recommendations to drive revenue growth, optimize funnel & pipeline efficiency.

You will be based in New York or Boston, with a flexible hybrid work schedule.

  • Programming language: SQL, Python, Bash
  • Data Platform: AWS [ S3, EC2, ECS, Lambda, Kinesis, Glue & DMS],  MySQL on RDS
  • BI Tools: Tableau
  • Orchestration: Airflow
  • Release management and CI/CD: Gitlab

At Dashlane you will:

  • Collaborate with data team members and stakeholders to collect business requirements, define analytics outcomes, and design data models.
  • Work with members of GTM functions to understand processes & data  requirements around lead & attribution models, pipeline efficiency & revenue growth.
  • Examine marketing and sales funnels to track key metrics such as conversion rates, drop-off points, lead quality, and time-to-close
  • Work with Marketing Teams to set goals, objectives and KPIs when new campaigns are launched, and be able to report on the progress of such campaigns frequently and with a data driven and anecdotal viewpoint.
  • Influence decisions by understanding the big picture combined with providing underlying deep analysis via data from operational systems.
  • Should be able to present their findings, point of view, and a go forward plan to improve/accelerate/continue doing .
  • Sift through large data sets to pinpoint meaningful findings and present them in a summarized form to non-technical audiences. 
  • Design, develop, and extend DBT models to support funnel and pipeline analytics.
  • Create and maintain models architecture and documentation.
  • Craft code that meets our internal standards for maintainability, and best practices for a high-scale data environment. 
  • Communicate clearly, knowledgeably and transparently with cross functional stakeholders to build trusted relationships and enhance business outcomes

Requirements:

  • 7+ years as an data analyst, data engineer, or equivalent, with a proven track record in a B2B SaaS environment, supporting Go-To-Market stakeholders.
  • 3+ years experience designing, implementing, operating, and extending data models in or with DBT

What we’re also looking for: 

  • Demonstrated capacity to communicate complex analytical outcomes and recommendations clearly and concisely to C-suite audience.
  • Demonstrated strength in SQL, ELT/ETL development, DBT and data warehousing (Redshift, Snowflake, etc.)
  • Proficient in using BI tools such as Tableau/Looker/Power BI.
  • Experience applying software engineering best practices and guidelines to analytics code and data model development.
  • Positive and solution-oriented mindset
  • Comfortable on working in a highly agile, intensely iterative environment
  • Self-motivated and self-managing, with task organizational skills.
  • Great communication: Regularly achieve consensus amongst technical and business teams
  • Ability to thrive in a distributed organization.
  • Fluent in English: verbal and written.

Salary Range: $166,500 - $195,000 in base salary

Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry, and are one part of total compensation package that also includes benefits, and other opportunities at Dashlane. 

Individual pay decisions are based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to other Dashlaners.  We expect the majority of the candidates who are offered roles at Dashlane to fall healthily throughout the range based on these factors.
