Data Systems Analysts, Inc. is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Specialist to lead quality assurance efforts for systems and applications within the Army Resource Cloud (ARC/cPROBE) environment. ​ The ideal candidate will develop and implement a comprehensive Quality Control Plan, perform rigorous testing and defect management, and ensure compliance with DoD and Army standards, including RMF and cybersecurity requirements. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with extensive experience in IT and quality assurance to support the Army's Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) processes, ensuring the delivery of reliable, secure, and high-quality systems and applications.

Required Qualifications

  • Active or Current DOD Secret Clearance. Advanced degrees in related fields are preferred but not mandatory.
  • Current Security + Certification
  • A minimum of 6 to 10 years of IT and business/industry experience, with a focus on quality assurance, software testing, and process improvement. ​
  • Proficiency in quality assurance methodologies, tools, and best practices, including experience with software testing frameworks, defect tracking systems, and process improvement techniques.
  • Familiarity with tools such as UFT One Test Automation, Tricentis NeoLoad, and other testing tools is highly desirable.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with DoD and Army standards, including Risk Management Framework (RMF), cybersecurity compliance, and adherence to Army regulations such as AR 25-2 and AR 735-5. ​
  • Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies and DevSecOps practices, including automated testing and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines. ​
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify, analyze, and address quality issues effectively. ​
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, document findings, and present recommendations to stakeholders. ​
  • Relevant certifications such as Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA), ISTQB Certified Tester, or similar are highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Develop, implement, and maintain a robust Quality Control Plan (QCP) to ensure services and products meet established quality standards and industry benchmarks.
  • Perform inspections, audits, and evaluations to identify and address quality issues. ​
  • Analyze existing processes and propose measures to enhance operations, improve system reliability, and minimize downtime, errors, and defects. ​
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to implement best practices and optimize workflows. ​
  • Design and execute test plans, scripts, and procedures to evaluate software systems using manual and automated methods. ​
  • Identify, document, and track defects, ensuring timely resolution and continuous improvement. ​
  • Ensure adherence to DoD and Army regulations, including RMF and cybersecurity standards. ​
  • Support the implementation of quality assurance processes in alignment with the Quality Control Plan and other applicable standards. ​
  • Maintain detailed records of quality assurance activities, including test results, defect reports, and corrective actions.
  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders and deliver monthly Quality Assurance Surveillance Reporting (QASP). ​
  • Work closely with development teams, project managers, and stakeholders to identify quality issues, recommend solutions, and ensure continuous improvement.
  • Participate in Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs) and provide input on quality-related matters.
