The Role
To enable our mission, we need to ensure our culture and organisational infrastructure supports performance and engagement. This ranges from diagnosing and designing people development interventions, to supporting M&A activity, to and/or leading on broader organisational development topics.
We are seeking an Org Design & Development Lead to join our team on a 12 month fixed-term basis. In this role you will partner closely with other P&C teams enabling joined up approaches to some of the key people challenges and opportunities ahead.
Key responsibilities
- Utilising org design and development expertise alongside insights from key internal stakeholders to diagnose the root cause of challenges teams are facing
- Working in close partnership with People and Culture Partners to identify, prioritise and deliver solutions for teams requiring strategic investment for development
- Building, tailoring and leveraging org development solutions for internal clients, delivered at the point-of-need, to enhance team effectiveness
- Measuring and demonstrating accelerated team performance in high priority areas of the business
- Understanding key cultural trends and functional best practices internally and externally and integrating these into your programmes
- Leading and/or supporting due diligence, people onboarding and integration activity in the event of any merger/acquisition
About You
- Extensive experience in designing and leading impactful organization consulting projects.
- Deep familiarity with organizational and people challenges within research, engineering, and product organizations.
- Strong communication and engagement skills, with experience leading others through change.
- Established HR or OD professional with experience aligning people practices to fulfill business strategy, and building innovative HR practices and frameworks where necessary.
- Skilled and agile facilitator capable of diagnosing and managing complex people dynamics.
- Proven ability to lead a team from problem diagnosis through to solution creation.
- Knowledge of HR topics and practices, ideally with some understanding of organizational psychology.
- As an advisor and coach, possesses the courage to challenge decisions that prioritize short-term goals over the overall health of the company.
- Ideally, experience in project and change management, including developing and implementing roadmaps and adjusting as necessary.
- Demonstrated experience collaborating as part of a wider project team on shared topics, using expertise to help design, plan, and implement solutions.
- Open and curious approach, actively listening to feedback and adjusting plans based on challenges.
- Acts with confidence, instills trust, and delivers well-thought-out solutions, demonstrating tenacity in finding answers.
