About the Role:
We’re looking for a Community Manager to build and scale DevRev’s user community across Reddit, Discord, LinkedIn, and Instagram. This isn’t just about social media management—it’s about turning our community into the first line of support and advocacy. You’ll create vibrant, self-serve spaces where customers help each other, champions emerge, and DevRev becomes a daily habit.
At the same time, you’ll work closely with Product and Engineering to advocate for customer needs, ensuring that DevRev’s Support Portal sets the gold standard for customer experience.
What You'll Do:
Community Engagement & Support
- Build Reddit and Discord into self-serve support hubs where customers can easily find answers and help each other.
- Spark conversations, share updates, and highlight champions who drive discussions.
- Incentivize and empower users to step up as community leaders and peer mentors.
Champion Programs
- Identify, onboard, and nurture grassroots champions across platforms.
- Launch recognition programs, gamification, and incentives that reward users who consistently support others.
- Create feedback loops where champions influence product and education priorities.
Content & Campaigns
- Create engaging posts, polls, tutorials, and challenges tailored to each platform.
- Share training updates, product how-tos, and customer wins in ways that spark discussion.
- Build and maintain a posting calendar to keep content consistent and high quality.
Product Advocacy
- Advocate on behalf of the customer internally to make sure DevRev’s Support Portal delivers the best possible customer experience.
- Partner with Product/Eng teams to surface community pain points and translate them into actionable improvements.
- Ensure every update to the portal makes it easier for customers to self-serve and succeed.
Growth & Insights
- Develop strategies to increase organic engagement and reach across platforms.
- Track and report on community health metrics: engagement, self-serve resolution rates, active champions, sentiment.
- Continuously experiment with new formats and approaches to grow impact.
What You'll Bring:
- 2–4 years of experience in community management, customer advocacy, or social media, ideally in SaaS/tech.
- Proven success running active communities on Reddit and Discord; strong grasp of LinkedIn and Instagram engagement.
- Excellent communicator who can spark discussions and simplify technical content.
- Data-driven with a bias for action—comfortable iterating quickly based on community insights.
- Creative, proactive, and passionate about building self-sustaining, champion-driven communities.
