Your role as Quality Assurance Manager
Reporting to Vincent Deschenes, Vice-President of Software Applications, the mission of the Quality Assurance Manager is to develop a strong understanding of our products and leverage it to reveal defects and risks early in the development cycle, and to inform product decision-making.
What you’ll be doing:
- Collaborate closely with agile product development scrum teams, working together to ensure the quality of all products
- Define and execute the quality assurance roadmap for Dialogue’s products, involving both internal and external QA teams, with a balance of hands-on and technical oversight
- Provide valuable feedback to developers on software usability, functionality, and performance
- Explore, understand, and maintain an up-to-date risk model for the product’s behavior
- Proactively identify and address gaps in product requirements early in the development process
- Design and implement risk-focused test plans that uncover critical defects before production deployment
- Reproduce defects and create clear, actionable bug reports
- Lead and advocate for QA methodologies within scrum teams, providing product training and mentorship to team members
- Curate, prioritize, and manage a backlog of known defects while tracking and analyzing quality metrics to improve performance over time
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
- A strong technical communicator, adept at bridging the gap between business stakeholders and developers
- You bring a methodical and structured approach to software modelling and testing, with proven exploratory testing skills
- Detail-oriented and highly organized, you excel at prioritizing tasks effectively in a dynamic environment
- Familiarity with context-driven software testing methods is a plus
- An interest or experience in software test automation is a strong asset
Please note that as we serve customers across Canada, bilingualism is essential for this position. You may be required to communicate in French and English.
