IT Analyst (Secret Level Security Clearance)

Purpose

Ensure reliable, secure, and efficient IT operations for Divergent through exceptional frontline service, technical administration, and hands-on support. This role is a crucial component of our three pillars of I.T. and offers an excellent opportunity to grow across multiple domains.

The Role

  • Be a primary, cross-functional point of contact for Tier 1 IT support
  • Prioritize tickets, calls, and other support requests and escalate as necessary
  • Support end-users across the organization by triaging and resolving Tier 1 service desk tickets, ensuring timely and effective communication. Follow up as necessary.
  • Assist with configuration, administration, and day-to-day management of cloud-based applications including but not limited to Microsoft 365, Azure, and other SaaS platforms.
  • In collaboration with senior infrastructure staff, maintain and troubleshoot networking hardware such as switches, routers, wireless access points, and firewalls
  • In collaboration with senior security staff, monitor systems for anomalies or indications of security issues; assist with investigations and documentation of security incidents.
  • Support ongoing compliance with security frameworks such as NIST 800-171 and CMMC.
  • Proactively learn and grow within each responsibility area. This position is ideal for someone who thrives on variety and is looking to expand their skillset across multiple facets of modern IT.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation and perform occasional after-hours maintenance as required.
  • Operate with integrity, discretion, and professionalism when handling confidential information and security responsibilities.

 

Basic Qualifications

  • Ability to lawfully access information and technology that is subject to US export controls 
  • U.S. Citizen with active or recent Secret Level Security Clearance
  • Demonstrated experience or education in IT support, systems administration, or related technical fields
  • Working knowledge of cloud platforms such as Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace
  • Familiarity with basic networking concepts and hands-on experience with hardware
  • Interest and basic understanding of cybersecurity principles
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude toward learning and development
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • 2+ years in a technical support or IT generalist role

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active TS or TS/SCI clearance
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or other relevant certifications, and/or education
  • Experience with compliance standards such as NIST 800-171, CMMC, or ISO 27001
  • Hands-on experience with ticketing systems and endpoint management tools
  • Experience working in a manufacturing, aerospace, or government contractor environment

Work Environment

  • Hybrid as appropriate. Onsite presence is expected (minimum 2-3 days per week) or certain networking and hardware-related tasks. Flexible scheduling available depending on responsibilities and team needs.

Compensation

At Divergent, our pay range is based on the level of the job. For this role, we will consider candidates at levels S02 - S03 as evaluated through our interview process. 

  • Specialist / S02: $34-47/hour 
  • Specialist / S03: $40-55/hour

$34 - $55 USD
