Overview
This role supports the TACNET Production Facility by leading logistics initiatives and serving as the deputy to the team lead, driving operational efficiency and team performance. Key responsibilities include managing receiving, inspection, inventory, and staging of equipment and materials. The position also oversees packaging, shipping, and receiving operations from the point of origin to final delivery at Naval Station Norfolk (V-53), ensuring accurate tracking and coordination for equipment transfers to installation activities or shipyards.
Responsibilities
- Support TACNET Production Facility through logistics projects.
- This role will serve as the deputy to the team lead, helping drive operational efficiency and team performance.
- Manage the receiving, receipt inspection, inventory, preparing material/equipment for storage, and stage equipment as needed.
- Provide logistics, packaging, shipping and receiving support and coordination from point of equipment origin until the material is in receipt at V-53 on Naval Station Norfolk and provide packaging, shipping, receiving and tracking for equipment and material shipped/transferred to the installation activity/shipyard.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Three (3) years of experience in defense life-cycle (acquisition) logistics support of electronic systems, to include: logistics principles, practices, and processes.
- Experience shall include at least one (1) years of support with C4ISR or similar systems, to include: Analyzing Engineering/Systems Management Data, and Developing Logistics Plans and Procedures.
- Experience may be achieved simultaneously.
- Specific Experience: Individual shall have Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) certification in Lifecycle [Acquisition] Logistics Foundational/Level 1; demonstrate/specify equivalent life cycle logistics training; or possess an additional one (1) year (i.e., total 4 years minimum experience) working in direct support of defense life-cycle logistics.
