Job Purpose
Work closely with the product squad to define and deliver user-centric platform capabilities that enable scalable, connected retail media solutions. You will develop a deep understanding of customer, retailer, and partner integration needs to define, manage, and execute product requirements that support interoperable ecosystems.
Develop a platform mindset by defining reusable capabilities, APIs, and integration patterns that connect our retail media platform with third-party systems including ad servers, DSPs, SSPs, content management systems, ERP platforms, workflow tools, and offsite media partners. Contribute to the broader product strategy by delivering scalable, secure, and future-proof platform capabilities that unlock value across advertisers, retailers, and ecosystem partners.
Key Accountabilities
Drive your squad
- Work closely with engineering, architecture, and design counterparts to define and deliver scalable integration capabilities aligned to the wider platform strategy.
- Define product increments that maximise reuse through APIs, shared services, and configurable integration frameworks rather than point solutions.
- Collaborate across Product domains to ensure integrations enable seamless activation, delivery, measurement, and operational workflows.
Execute with Excellence
- Own the execution roadmap for platform integrations that improve operational efficiency and create commercial value.
- Write clear product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, API contracts, data mappings, and integration specifications.
- Act as the primary point of contact for third-party technology partners, ensuring requirements are communicated, understood, and delivered successfully.
- Define and manage the lifecycle of integrations from discovery through implementation, monitoring, and ongoing maintenance.
- Ensure product requirements include both user experience and underlying API, integration, security, and data quality considerations.
Measure what matters
- Measure adoption, reliability, scalability, and operational performance of integration capabilities.
- Define and monitor non-functional requirements including latency, uptime, observability, security, resilience, and data quality.
- Prioritise integrations that improve automation, consistency, and platform scalability across the retail media ecosystem.
Build your product maturity
Working with Product Leadership to develop and strengthen the following capabilities:
- Bring others on the journey: Communicate integration strategy, roadmap, and priorities across technical and business stakeholders.
- Know our business: Understand how platform integrations contribute to retailer success, advertiser outcomes, and long-term product strategy.
- Comprehend the market: Build knowledge of Retail Media, AdTech, API-first platforms, interoperability standards, and emerging ecosystem partners.
- Understand your users: Develop deep understanding of retailers, advertisers, technical partners, developers, and operational users.
- Create Awareness: Support go-to-market activities by enabling scalable platform capabilities that accelerate customer adoption.
Platform & Technical Collaboration
- Apply platform-first thinking to define reusable, scalable integration capabilities across the retail media ecosystem.
- Work closely with engineering teams to design API-first solutions and integration architectures.
- Translate business requirements into clear API specifications, data models, workflows, and system behaviours.
- Evaluate external APIs, data-sharing models, and compliance requirements to support strategic technology partnerships.
- Contribute to long-term platform architecture that enables plug-and-play connectivity with ecosystem partners.
- Collaborate with engineering to deliver secure, performant, observable, and maintainable integrations.
- Demonstrate awareness of emerging industry standards, technologies, and innovations that shape the future of Retail Media.
Qualifications & Experience
Desirable
- Experience working within Retail Media, AdTech, Digital Advertising, or enterprise SaaS platforms.
- Experience delivering API-first products or platform integrations.
- Experience working with third-party technology providers and external platform partnerships.
